Welcome to Interstellar's second RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that first opened a couple months ago, this TDM cover the second round of recruitment for those approached by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU

These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate. Rescuers that are already in game can also end up in this dreamscape, and can run into both new musicians and new rescue team recruits.



►A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

►A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE

These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.




►B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

►B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

A2. Dreaming of the Future

[Doc's reality has been largely the same for the last few years. By daylight he enjoys his work as a smith and daily horse rides, in the evening he tends to the task of raising his new family. It's the closest to contentment that he's felt in a while, but still...still something is missing.

It's been a long time since his dreams have contained anything out of the ordinary, but tonight is a change. He hears loud, bold music, something of the type that his young friend once preferred. The landscape is neon-bright and abstract, and somehow he's not alone in this fog. Doc's never been one to let a curiosity pass him by unchecked, so someone's going to be approached by an odd-looking man in a cowboy costume tonight.]

Hello?

B1. The Pitch
[The fog again. He'd woken up on the wrong side of the bed that morning, disturbed by the strong emotions wrapped up in what he'd seen and felt. Something was very wrong with someone he loved. Somewhere out there, the fabric of space-time was tying itself in knots again, and here he stood helpless to stop it.

Or was he? He felt a chill run up his back once more as the world around him faded to a blur. Who was that approaching him with their anachronistic fashion sense? Again, he braced himself, though his voice was a little steadier this time.]

Do you have an idea what the hell this is all about? [He makes a sweeping gesture at all this abstract strangeness. It's really been getting to him.]

B2. All aboard!
[Aboard the ship, Doc's days fade into a long blur of restless activity. When he's not drawing up a plan or pestering his new allies for information, he's pacing so quickly he might somehow burn a hole in the floor. He normally prides himself on a methodical approach, but the knowledge that his best friend is brainwashed and in very real trouble tends to trip that up.

He approaches anyone and everyone with a friendly if worried expression, idly glancing out the window as if willing the skies to pass more quickly.]

It's strange that intergalactic travel can involve absolutely mind-boggling speed yet feel so painfully sluggish.

[It feels a lot longer than it is. But he also can't make time go any faster, that's Zilean's domain, not his.

The best he can do is loop a small amount of time over and over and over. Not... that it would be helpful at all at this point.]

I know, right? You'd think space travel would feel faster than this.

Sans | Undertale | Already in Game! (A1)

The situation feels familiar from the first moment Sans finds himself within it. The feeling of deja vu, the strange distance from his life in Vista...the fact that he's a skeleton again. It's all seems very similar to an experience he's had before, which in itself is a familiar feeling of nostalgia. He doesn't quite remember the first time he found himself in one of these dreams, but it's close enough.

Enough has happened in between that now, instead of baffled and only slightly put out, he is legitimately pissed off. He regards his surrounding with a feeling of disdain, like it leaves a bad taste in his mouth just by existing.

This time, there is no snow, or frosted subterranean trees. Instead, there is a vast stretch of laboratory space - a sight that is familiar yet foreign all at once. It isn't the kind of science he studied in university before dropping out, instead its of a distinctly arcane variety, like the sorts he's been gradually remembering over time. He could probably even name what a few of the devices and formulas are for. He knows what some of the mysterious looking scripts scribbled on boards and papers mean.

He just doesn't care. He doesn't want to be here. He feels like the entire place is haunted, whether or not it only exists inside his head.

There's no one else around, so he wanders for a while, in his lab coat and...somewhat misplaced slippers. When he realizes that its not really possible to find his way out, he just starts pushing things off of counters with a dull sense of amusement, much like a cat would. Will anybody react if he dumps this bottle of crap everywhere? Well, how about this one?

He manages to be pretty grim looking, even while grinning toothily the whole time. It's a talent of his, being a skeleton.

[And here J thought the dreams would end once he actually made it to Vista City. Guess not.]

[It's a little nostalgic, showing up in a dream with Bone Man - Sans, he now knows, thanks to Frisk. What's new is the dulled fury in Sans' tune - a mixture of anger and disdain and supreme irritation, worsened by the skipping and warping that the brainwashing creates. At least the damage isn't as bad as it was last time.]

[He approaches, hands in pockets, outwardly casual. Don't want to make the situation worse right off the bat, after all.]

Greg Universe | Steven Universe | A1 (already in game)

Can a lack of familiarity be familiar? Greg has the distinct feeling he ought to know this beach, like surely must have been here before, but it all comes up empty. You'd think a guy would be able to pick out a huge statue of a woman carved into the cliffside, anyway.

Maybe it's the lighting. No matter whether he's been here before or not, the greenish flames and wreckage scattered over the shore give the distinct impression of being recent rather than standard. What was probably once a beautiful view has turned eerie and unsettling, cast with an aura of things deeply important and dangerous having happened.

Greg leans his weight against the van parked on the beach--well, less parked, more with several wheels missing. It feels like that's probably symbolic, or something? He doesn't know. He's too tired to figure it out; everything about this place makes him feel unbearably tired and lost.

The death metal blasting from the van's speakers isn't helping.

Yeah, the death metal definitely isn't helping.

But that's partially because, from across the beach, Connie has been trying to yell Greg's name for, like, five minutes.

Since her voice clearly can't beat the screams of metal heads, she goes around to the other side of the van. Clambering up into the driver's seat and with one hand pressed against an ear like that will help, she fumbles with the volume until she can hit off.

"Mister Universe!"

Nico Robin | One Piece

[Nightmares are not strangers in Robin's mind. She's had them since she was a child. It seemed natural to her that she would.

She can't make an accurate count of how many burning islands she's skittered through, trying to keep one step ahead of Marines or pirates and the fiery destruction of their canons. She's sure the number is a lot smaller if you discount the nightmares, but probably not as much smaller as one might reasonably expect.

But Luffy helped with that. He, and the rest of the Strawhat Pirate crew helped heal the wounds in her heart that weeped devastation on island after island. Even when they were separated, and she turned for a time to the Revolutionary Army for training and companionship, knowing she'd found her place and people that love her seemed to be enough to keep the nightmares at bay.

So it is that she walks through this rotting garbage heap engulfed in flames, and finds herself surprised. Though scalding to the touch, Robin walks through them unscathed.]

My, it's been awhile. I was beginning to wonder if I'd ever see you again.

[She chuckles to herself. There's a joke there somewhere, about an old flame. Nostalgic, but not entirely welcome. A young child darts past, running deeper into the burning refuse, notable from the other people running around only because he's going towards the fire rather than away from it... and she thought she recognized his hat. Robin blinks, then gives chase, long legs carrying her lithely over the uneven heaps of trash. There are paths cut between mounds, she realizes in the periphery of her mind. The makings of an entire community. That was almost certainly a house she just passed, made haphazardly out of things found already discarded. But she must keep the child in her sights, his tattered cape or cloak whipping out behind him as he runs. He senses her, and picks up speed, growing taller, the cloak less tattered and the hat less abused, though the goggles wrapped around its rim stay the same.

Yes, Robin thinks, it must be him. A fellow Revolutionary, a leader, a friend. She's about to call out his name when he turns to look at her over his shoulder, then vanishes in a burst of napalm. Robin screams in surprise, breathing in acrid fumes that aren't entirely due to the smoke, then finds herself in the middle of a rock concert.

Confused and disoriented, she begins doing what she does best.

Seeking information.]

Excuse me, have you seen a young man wearing a top hat moving through the crowd?

[The interdimensional transition seems no different from any other dream or nightmare to Robin. She'd fallen asleep when she meant to keep watch. Franky and Brook lay to either side, silent and still in their time distorted slumber. She'd worry, but it isn't as if Brook can die any more than he already has, and Franky isn't entirely human anymore, so surely he has backup systems installed just in case anything goes wrong. What's strange is the lack of sound, the leaves hanging perfectly still on their trees, the earth beneath no longer trembling as the great elephant beneath it goes about its life. An island paradise located on the back of an elephant is no stranger to tremors. Robin stands, shivering, eyes searching the darkness.]

Hello? Is someone there?

[It's a lot to take in, the sheer magnitude of power, money, and technology necessary to kidnap people and brainwash them into believing they're rock stars, of all things, is daunting.

And infuriating.

How is it that those with means always somehow turn the use of those means toward new and ever changing forms of slavery? Why? If they're interdimensional beings then clearly it isn't simply a case of human nature. The concept is bigger than that, and more far reaching than she'd ever imagined.

Well. That will be a problem for other minds. Presently, Robin has a mission, and in order to accomplish what she's agreed to do, the fist thing she needs to do is find a library.]

[he is watching her from a distance. Or, more accurately, she caught his eye. He is not far away. Out of the crowds, leaning against the wall, shadowed. Taking notes in a small notebook, but he can't understand the lyrics and everything seems to be shifting. She's familiar though. Someone he knows... or remembers fuzzily. Like some distant tune and words he can't remember. Someone fairly important. But very handsy.

He doesn't approach her, though. It's not his style and he could be wrong in this uncertain place. So he'll watch and try to see what she's talking about though it's impossible to hear over the roar of the music.

Marisa Kirisame | Touhou Project

What was Marisa doing out in the middle of the magic forest like this? Well, she honestly didn't know, she didn't remember coming out here, but something about this didn't feel real. A dream? Huh, whatever.

The place looked about as dark and forboding as ever, with trees thick enough to block out the sunlight and a thick fog covering the area even in the day time. Then of course there was the odd asortment of plant life, particularly mushrooms, some big enough to almost be like trees themselves and others colored in ways no mushroom that a person not from Gensoukyo would think odd. To a stranger who got lost in this place, it would be strange and spooky, while a villager would be even more on edge here since they'd know that were probably youkai lurking near by waiting to swallow them up. To Marisa though? This was home. Of course there was a reason why Marisa usually flew when traveling around here rather than walking.

Walking rather than flying, she glanced around briefly, then stopped when she thought she saw someone also wandering into the clearing she was in.

"Say, What'cha doin' out here, ze? Ya could get eaten by a youkai wanderin' around this place, ya know~"

Again, they were in the Magic Forest, but this time it was a bit closer to Marisa's house and there wasn't much chance of a youkai pouncing this time either, since time was all frozen and stuff. Marisa had been out collecting magic mushrooms, so she had a basket of them she was carrying even as she listened to the person telling her about other worlds and people being kidnapped.

"Huh. Why would they be kidnappin' people t' other worlds fer somethin' like that?" The witch asked. "Th' heck is a "Rockstar" anyway?"

Once they'd convinced her to come along, which actually hadn't taken much at all, the witch took to exploring the ship as they traveled to back to where these kidnappers were. No way was she going to pass up a chance to see another world. And who knew? If these had to have some neat things for her to borrow.

Of course, that might not be her only reason...

She looked out the window at the stars streaking by. "Heh, this is pretty cool, ze~ I never traveled through space like this before."

"Youkai?" Ace just scoffs slightly. "No worries, I can handle any other demons."

It's familiar. Something about that. Wasn't he related or something... something. It's too distant.

"I've been through hell itself, after all," he says with a grin. There's something off about that joke. Was it a joke, bragging, statement of factor? It's so hazy, and he just laughs, "No but really, I can take care of myself. Thanks though! It's sweet of you to worry. Do you need any help or protection?"

Connie Maheswaran - Steven Universe

[This is not her room and, in a very plain nightgown that droops near her ankles, Connie feels a flicker of fear rattle her heart. Sure, she's gone up against mutant monstrosities, but... Steven's always been there, or her parents, or somebody.]

[For a moment, in her confusion, she's only a girl of twelve.]

[(And three quarters.)]

[But then the moment passes, and she steels herself again with her shoulders straightening. Quickly, she glances around- both to get a grasp on her surroundings and to see if there's anything that can fit in her hand.]

[Connie, despite all the adventures she's gone on just by knowing Steven Universe, has never been on a spaceship. Sure, she's been in the enormous wreck of a spaceship, but never on one.]

[This is a very serious mission, she tries to remind herself, clasping a sword as tall as she is to her body. Steven, and Garnet, and Mister Universe- they've all been kidnapped for horrible reasons, and it's up to her to save them.]

[...But holy shit she's on a SPACESHIP flying through TIME AND SPACE]

[One can find the young swordswoman using what appears to be a large pink lion as a stepping stool to stare out a window with shining eyes. Lion doesn't seem to care much, for he is currently asleep.]

[Well, this kid has a frying pan.

Frisk isn't entirely bothered anymore at finding themself where they shouldn't be. It's nearly overwhelmingly hot here; the stone platforms tower above rivers of lava below, but aren't quite high enough to avoid the convection. There's a large metal structure off in the distance, but the only signs of civilization right here are a few conveyor belts leading off towards other rock islands.

Idly, they nudge a loose pebble off the side with their pan, watching it sploosh down into the lava below. It's only then that they glance up and notice Connie. Oh, hey, another human! Neat. They wave.]

Reno || Final Fantasy VII

[Yeah, great, okay. If this is some Lifestream bullshit he's gonna lose his damn mind. His life is already weird enough, he doesn't need mako poisoning or the world ending again or whatever on top of that. Do you know how hard it is rebuilding a global corporation that used to basically rule the world from nothing? It's tough and they don't have enough staff.]

[Reno wanders, looking for another person in this fucked up bullshit dreamscape, and stops when he sees someone.]

Hey. [Totally chill yo] You know what's going on here?

[Oh, fantastic! More of this nonsense. The most annoying part is it's his day off, and he was just about to retrieve a nice looking drink from the bar and now he can't because the guy pouring it got frozen and that is just fucked up.]

[Reno huffs, turning to lean on the bar and look at this visitor. He doesn't have much experience with this whole spectral anomaly visitor blah blah blah stuff, but so far it's turning out to be a major pain in the ass.]

I really hope you've got a good reason for pulling this shit on my day off.

[He has approximately zero interest in getting to know his fellow travellers. Reno's never been a people person-- that's Rude's bag, Reno can't stand people. Have you met them? The w o r s t.]

[Most of his time is spent pouring over any available information about what's ahead of them. Reading whatever's available and making notes so he can make some sense of this ludicrous situation. Evil alien music vampire wizards are kidnapping people? God what a nightmare. He half wonders if he can just "accidentally" leave Cloud behind while he's at it. That'd be nice.]

Well, time and space threatening to fall apart is a fairly good enough reason by my book.

[Mammon tilts their head back to look up at the redhead, arms crossed over their chest. See all these tears that are being spilt over his happy hour being ruined. Sorry, body, the raging alcoholic they deal with is a lot more intimidating. Your annoyance means nothing to them.]

Your cheap booze isn't going anywhere, on the other hand.

Papyrus | Undertale

In all the excitement of reaching the surface, and moving out to live among the humans, it's been a while since Papyrus thought longingly of Snowdin Forest. He's spent so many hours walking the path between town and the mysterious door (to the ruins, he's since learned) that he's memorized it. So it's no surprise to see it in such detail, even in his dreams.

The strange thing, Papyrus muses as he slides through the ice tunnel, is that this isn't how the path was the last time he saw it. Some of the puzzles are still calibrated, as though Frisk never passed through them. Even the snowskeletons are missing. It's as if he and his brother's work has been deconstructed. Or, perhaps, hasn't yet been constructed in the first place.

Footsteps crackle in the snow behind him, and he turns to see who it is.

Papyrus feeds a coin into the parking meter with only a tiny grudging impatience. It is, after all, a very small price to pay to go driving around the city. Gas and car repairs are much bigger. It's just confusing to pay the meter, instead of a parking tax that pools into a fund for paying for parking lot repairs. The first time he hit a pot hole, his bones rattled for almost an hour afterwards.

He doesn't notice when sound dies away, and everything around him goes still. It takes the stranger's first words for him to realize how loud and clear their voice is without anything else happening.

There was no question whether the great Papyrus would go to rescue his brother. (Though how anybody could think Sans was a good choice for a rock star, when Papyrus or Mettaton were around, was a mystery he'd be thinking about for some time to come.)

Even if he hadn't accepted for his brother's sake, or to help his good friend, there was just something about the way the strangers contacted him that made it seem important. It was a little like that time everything went white, and when he came to, everything had been fixed. If they needed his help to make that kind of difference, well, he sure wasn't going to refuse.

So now the grinning skeleton explores the ship, getting to know its layout--and the people aboard--in antsy anticipation of getting this rescue mission started.

[And that's Connie's first words. Or, rather, word, singular. It's kind of strange to be talking to an actual living skeleton instead of one that's, you know, the remains of someone deceased. Still, just one more fantastical thing to add to her life after getting to know Steven.]

[Besides the sword nearly as big as her strapped to her back, Connie just looks like any other practically dressed human girl.]

[...Ignore the big pink lion lounging behind her.]

Yzma | The Emperor's New Groove

A2: [Well, this is new. She seems to be lounging on a sort of cabana boat, watching the goings on with a kind of puzzlement. A quick check of herself finds herself functioning in perfect, and surprisingly less necrotic than usual, order. And what's more, some helpful soul that was gone before she can register, has given her a martini on the rocks.]

Oh well.

[knocks it back with gusto. And then to the next dream foggy person she sees]

Yoohoo! Someone needs a refill!

B2; [she listens carefully. Or at least as carefully as she can. Even as a cruelly and unjustly and disposed and catlike as she is, or was, perhaps, or perhaps BECAUSE of that, it's somewhat difficult to follow someone else's natterings.

But follow she does because, as always, she sees something in it for her. Harvesting souls, he said? Well if they can do it, she sees no reason why she can't do the same! And if she can do the same--

[ Once again Roy finds himself walking the halls of a large military building. Everywhere he looks the other men and women there are in uniform, as he is. Some of them are at desks working on papers or listening to communications through headphones, others are carrying messages or supplies around rooms and up and down the halls. Occasionally someone pauses and salutes him. ]

Why is everyone acting so formal around me?

[ He pauses to consider. Really, no one had called these soldiers to attention. What was with the saluting or the attempt to look extra busy whenever he peered into one of the rooms. ]

[ There's another saluting him but with a much smaller stature than the rest. She then eases into a big smile. ]

Hi again!

Sora | Kingdom Hearts | A1 (Already in game)

[Sora's in a place he's dreamed about before. It's dark here, a void except for the large circle of stained glass he stands on, and the light shining down on it and him that keeps it all visible. He studies the artwork beneath him. It's him, but younger. The other faces there are familiar too, even the dog and the duck he's dreamed about before.

Part of him feels like this is so normal, so familiar, it feels somewhat calm. But a larger part of him is on alert. The last time he was here, there was a huge shadow monster he'd had to fight. The second he thinks about it, his keyblade appears in his hand with a flash of light. He holds it tight as he looks around, warily...

There had been a bar fight going on, but as the air solidified and glass hung in the air, the man that had just broken a flying bottle with his fist made a face as he stood up from his crouch.]

Please tell me that this is not going to turn into another time wrap misadventure involving Decade.

[Even as he talks, he twists his hand, making it crack loudly like it was something more of metal then flesh and bone.]

[Joji doesn't care about the politics or the reasoning behind this. All he was interested was in the level of tech in this world and just what they used in order to capture so many people. It can't be just with one mechanism; Dai-Shocker had several scenarios in play for their recruitment so it wouldn't come as a shock that they used the same number. The equipment might be around the same level as well, though he wondered if they had used some kind of bio-chip or if they had something a lot more sinister in play.

But while people talked and asked questions, he was busy studying the science and making copies of as much as he could using the strange greenish glowing screens that seemed almost attached to him as his arm - which also sometimes would glow green. Weird.

He also discovered a cache of paperclips and was building tiny paperclip soldiers that seemed rather alive, though a bit clumsy as they stumbled around the table and kept on attacking a box of cereal.]

Enough of Michiru's life has hinged on dreams just like this that she's aware pretty much immediately that something isn't right. It doesn't take her long to figure out what exactly is different about this one: in the others, she's always been aware of what's going on, but simply that. This is the first time that she hasn't been held hostage by visions of the past or prophecies of the future.

Interesting.

She's standing on the intersection of a street corner in the city, vaguely aware that she's near the Juuban Municipal High School, but the roads and sidewalks are both utterly vacant. This is Wrong, she knows, something here is Wrong, and after a moment's deliberation, she chooses a direction to begin walking in. Michiru has no idea who - or what - she's looking for just yet, but she knows that she'll know when she sees them.

Michiru is halfway through a song when time abruptly stops and the world fades around her. This is unnatural, and while there's little outward reaction, she can feel goosebumps on her own arms. With a put-out little frown meant to suggest more exasperation than the outright alarm she's actually feeling, she lowers the violin from her shoulder when she senses a presence behind her.

"It's polite to knock when entering someone's home," she chastises softly, but doesn't turn around just yet.

"And that's a lousy greeting." Two can play this game, Michiru. Two who know the rules intimately.

Haruka keeps her hands in her pockets and her expression casual, standing behind her partner in an even louder, stranger suit than normal (it's bright gold). Of all the people to end up fetching. Well, she won't complain.

She can't complain about anything and mean it when she's looking at this woman. She has all sorts of things to tell Michiru - the Solar System is in danger, the Princess is probably going to be, she wishes Michiru hadn't stopped playing that song - but they all halt just behind her lips when she's actually with her partner for the first time in a month. Michiru is here.

And just like that, the sense of being off-kilter Haruka's had since climbing onto the spaceship falls away. Like being doused in water, her head clears.

...So this is what having missed someone feels like.

Haruka's mouth is smirking, but her eyes are soft: she can't help that. "We have to go."

This isn't France and her gun is missing.

It takes a moment, but she manages to suppress the rising anger. Anger wouldn't help here. She needed reason. What did she know about her situation? 1) She's not in chains. 2) She was in an unfamiliar land. 3) There wasn't a single familiar face.

So she wasn't captured by guards. That's good. But she still needed answers. She stalks the peculiar surroundings carefully, ready to pounce on any threat. No one's going to get the drop on her. She worked too hard to be stopped now.

The deal was set. She'll help with their rebellion, she could get weapons for hers. Supposing the tale was true, these foreigners had weapons far more advanced than her own. It would be the perfect threat to finally overthrow the King and bring justice to the people of France.

In the meantime, there was waiting. She always considered herself a patient woman but traveling to a new land in a strange ship wasn't exactly a scenario that motivated her desire to wait. She finds herself pacing about, looking for anything to distract herself. Plans to make, weapons to maintain, anything to get away from the doldrum.

Riku was not a fan of this deal. Not at all. In fact he was pretty vocal about it when it was being discussed. It violated everything he stood for.

He had no doubt that Leonie's cause was a good one, the France he visited hadn't been a Utopia.

"Do they have Notre Dome in your City of Bells?" he asked.

He was making conversation to confirm his suspicions that her cause was just. If they weren't, he'd do everything in his power to make sure she didn't get those weapons. He'd go behind Silver's, Gold's, and Shep's backs to take them away.

Amethyst | Steven Universe

[ Amethyst's dream starts in an open blank space with only one object, the couch from the house where Steven sleeps. She could start guessing at why this dream is so plain and different from usual but this is her nap time and that means it's time to rest rather than think hard. She jumps onto the couch and flops over on it, content to stare up into the blank "sky" and wait for something interesting to happen. ]

[ She might lack the space travel experience that the other gems have but Amethyst makes herself comfortable in Shep's ship pretty quickly, especially in the kitchen where an entire new set of foods and flavors are waiting to be tested out. Those who stop in the kitchen while Amethyst is there will either find her mixing concoctions out of multiple types of drinks or making her way through a tall pile of food, sometimes including the wrappers of said food. Her mouth is usually stained with something she was just consuming. ]

[ As if on cue, a squid flies through the air with a jet stream of ink flying behind her. She lands near the couch with a wet plop noise. ]

[He vaguely remembers being on a space ship the last time he dreamed, surrounded by stars and a motley crew of beings piloted by a blue man. But most of all he remembers a girl being there. A girl that reminded him of the ocean, blue as the waves and sort of calming to talk to.

He awoke to his common surroundings, a motel room checked in under a false name and a gun under his pillow. The escape from this world... just a dream.

But a couple days later, another dream happens. For some reason Oscar is floating in what looks to be an endless river, dark and lit only by the golden glow of the lamps nearby. He tries to swim towards them, but he can never travel to them. It's an eerie sight and he's dreamed of this before. Usually it just ends with him taking a deep breath and sinking into the depths.]

[After an apology from Shep once he got on board, (he was once on the ship, but somehow the ship fell into turbulence and some people had to be brought back home) but Oscar was one of the people they retrieved back. He's a bit more social, glad that he's meant to be here.]

And here she is again. Same nosebleed section of the same stadium, the same orb of golden light performing to a crowd of just her. She'd seen Laura here before, but now... Now it's just her.

Luci takes off her shoes and stands on the edge of the balcony section, hands in her trouser pockets, the glow so warm it's like watching the sun perform. She knows this person-- her best friend, her only friend...? And yet she can only barely make out the waves of red hair fanning out as she sings. These are all things she's seen before, all things she knows and can't reconcile, but despite the strange setting she feels more right than she has in a while. More power seems to settle in her hands and behind her lips, though she doesn't know what it's asking of her.

Until she knows... she'll just watch her friend, and try to remember her freaking name.

[Where...the heck is she?

That's her first question. The second is...is that her skin? Is it...cerise? And--gems! She had gems on her hands!

That meant she was a Crystal Gem, right? The fact she had the gems like Steven now did? So was this where she came from? Or...well, she had no clue. Even if she remembered a decent amount, so much more eluded her, and she knew it.

So she walks. Walks the streets of Beach City, a town she'd lived in for centuries - indeed, helped to create - as if she's never stepped foot on a boardwalk in her life, much less walk past any of the shops and arcades and booths, all of them eerily silent.

A ghost town? Maybe. But she can't help but feel like she should know where she's going. Maybe towards that large cliff. That...and the beach. Maybe there was something there to find.

But maybe not, her mind automatically responds, the programming naturally seeping in to dampen any potential revelation she might receive. This isn't real, after all. None of this is real. Only the music.]

[ The castle is huge and ancient. It's been in the family for generations. Since Number Two had built it to house his special new strike force. He knows these halls. The thick plush carpet and the elegant hard wood. Antiques that cost more than most people's salaries for a month. He knows all of it.

He continues on until he reaches a dining room. There are seven chairs around the table. The largest and most ornate was at the head. As he stands there, a giant feast appears, yet the seats stay empty.

Xanxus stands before that table full of amazing, delicious food and frowns. It must have been a special occasion, but what... what. And who was supposed to be in those chairs. Someone important... someone...

Someone was sitting in his chair. Or at least he thinks that chair at the head of the table is his. ]

Oi. You. The hell are you doing here? And are you going to eat that?

[ The figure stretches and drapes over one of the armrests. A blond kind with a striped shirt, looking very much comfortable in that throne. A moment later, and a huge grin spreads on his face. That's as much of a reaction as Xanxus' presence gets at first, but then he sort of flops over and looks at him upside-down, still grinning. ]

[ He must've dozed off on the throne. Part of him does want to run, but he's also curious just how much may he be able to get away with right now. There's a small fit of that hissy laughter. ]

Shishi-- long time no see, Boss. [ A shift into a very serious, matter-of-fact expression. ] I'm guarding your seat, of course. The sullen guy does weird things to it when nobody's looking ~♫

Kairi had been having strange dreams recently, but she was almost used to that by now. Enough so that they just made her feel ready, like something was going to happen. And then... something did. She had been told that if she had a dream, she should act. Regardless of the source, it was good advice. She just wasn't sure how, yet.

The world acting weird, strange people approaching her, trying to get her to do what they liked? What THEY wanted? Kairi had been down that path before. And she was prepared to fight if she had to this time. This time she had a weapon she knew how to use, this time she understood why fighting had to be the answer sometimes.

But if there was enough of that to keep her from being pulled along, there was enough of herself to realize that they weren't. No one was threatening or grabbing her. They were asking for help. And helping? It was what Sora would do. What Riku would do. She lifted her chin. They were her best friends. Helping... is what Kairi would do.

"Alright," she said, nodding. "I'm in."

"...really? That easy?"

The strange blonde in a sailor costume in front of her is totally baffled. She hasn't been standing in this odd void with the redhead for long at all. She'd started with 'hey, people are kidnapped, we kinda need your help' or something like that. And it went far easier than she'd thought.

"I don't think I even got into how bad this could really get, but I like your spirit! This kind of heroic thing's old hat for you, I guess?"

[ It's not uncommon for cemeteries to get foggy at night. With that and the morphine coursing through his veins, he doesn't pay that strangeness much mind at first. A vivid dream, perhaps, or a trick of mind. ]

[ But wait, no. It feels real. It's people. Not... a shaman, but definitely a person. Faust tucks his coat around himself tighter and offers a smile to the stranger. It feels like death, even if it's not unfriendly. ]

Good evening. Isn't the moon wonderful tonight?

[ Oh yes, he's... probably in a wheelchair. ]

[ He ends up on the... spaceship. Which is about as comfortable as a regular plane. Amazing. Technology has truly evolved in that place, huh? Perhaps he could find something he could use after all. That would make this trip worth it. Getting any closer to getting Eliza back... it's definitely worth it, even for the slightest chance of it. ]

[ The rest of them can burn. ]

[ He stays in his seat for the most of the trip, humming love songs under his nose and generally looking harmless and mildly amused at everything. Every now and then, though, he does seem to be... examining other passengers, especially the ones that look some form of odd. ]

[Over the years with the Doctor, Sarah's become deeply attuned to anyone trying very hard to look harmless and mildly amused at things. In her experience, it usually means they're interesting, or dangerous, or most likely both.

What an odd looking fellow. A bit skinny, she thinks. She doesn't think he noticed her watching - she had been careful not to make eye contact - but she isn't certain.

Either way, it doesn't change the way she chooses to introduce herself - she falls behind him as he walks, matching his pace, and joins in with the song he's humming.]

Rarity | My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic | Already In Game | A1

It occurs to Rarity that she ought to be more concerned about the fact that she seems to be a pony. Oddly enough, she isn't. Everything in the odd, brightly colored little village she's found herself in seems to be sized for someone just about her height, and she finds herself moving very naturally on four legs, easy as breathing. It's odd, yes, but very familiar in a way she can't quite place.

Perhaps there's someone here who can explain where she is. That would be helpful.

Bill Cipher | Gravity Falls (Already in Game!) A1

[You know what they say: in dreams you aren't just 'the child standing in front of the tree'-- you are the tree; you're also the child; the grass they are standing on; the sweater they are wearing; the sunlight filtering down; the snake slithering towards their unsuspecting le-- well, you get the picture. Being fragmented into so many pieces should be disorienting for Bill Cipher, but something feels oddly right about it at this moment. The dream demon lazily drifts in nonexistence, occasionally peeking through a myriad of peepholes to view various points of the world around him.

Often they took the form of a sleepy woodland area at dusk, on other occasions he enjoyed something more off base, like a corridor best described as MC Escher's fever dreams throwing a sweet rave party.

Regardless of the location, any form bearing Bill Cipher's image served as an anchor he could use to insert himself into that plane of reality; a scribbled triangle on a starbucks cup, a shadow on the wall, even a slitted eye in the moon; the possibilities were infinite. Of course, now and then something peculiar would happen. Someone or something, Bill hadn't planned would appear. Like now for instance. The nth dimensional being's eye blinked curiously, regarding the visitor.

WELL never mind if he remembers making them or not, he'll let the anomaly have its way for a while. He DID have a certain fondness for the weird. Let's see what entertainment it can provide before he sends them into the void!

After all, this is HIS world isn't it? He can play with them all he pleases.]

Shingo was on edge. Here he was, on a ship, hurtling across the galaxy, to god-knows-where. He had little concept of what exactly he was getting into. All he knew was that Ankh was brainwashed into being a rock star. How anyone had managed to leash the being created of untamed human greed, he had no idea.

A space ship was something new. Honestly, he felt pretty out of place. He only wore a brown suit, with a plain tie, and all he had with him was what he'd had on at the time. Ankh had needed his help. Far be it from him to refuse. But this was probably bigger than he had expected. And so was this ship. He was kind of lost. He turned in place and peered down a couple corridors near an intersection. He just wanted some coffee to calm down with. Wasn't a police officer supposed to help give directions?

Ah, finally, someone was coming. "Excuse me," he said, politely, with a small wave. "Can you help me? I'm a little lost." He offered a smile. He made no attempt to shield the fact that his face so closely resembled Ankh's.

"Maybe whatever you need to know is something someone already told me. If not, maybe we can find the answer together."

A2)It is strange for her to dream. She has to wonder if she ever dreamed before? Sometimes it could be hard to tell when all of time is in your head at once- head being used figuratively here, of course. She's a great big blue box. She isn't programmed to speak, or dream, as far as she knows. But she's a very intelligent machine, if you could call her something so simple. Maybe she's changing somehow. Or breaking down. She is ancient at this point.

But in this dream she doesn't look old. She looks fairly young, even. Yes, this body is from when they flew to that other dimension. When they fly? She's pretty sure that it is supposed to be the future, at least for her Thief.

And that is who she sees, her Thief, The Doctor. He had always been a wild man, but this was wrong. He doesn't do this... does he? With all of time flowing around her, sometimes it was hard to pick out a particular moment, but she knew this feels wrong. "Thief! Thief! What are you doing!?"

In the waking world her poor Thief is getting wild warning sirens over what seems to be nothing.

B2) She knew as soon as her dimension slipped that not only was she limited in her power, but somehow this dimension limited her enough to be able to be sustained in this human body. That in itself is exciting, but she wouldn't leave her precious Thief behind. When she's told that he's been kidnapped, that dream comes to mind. Of course she wasn't really dreaming. It was never in her programming to do that.

Of course, no one expected her to start shouting "Wrong! Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong! It's gone too wibbly!" As time around them shuddered and shifted. There might even be a sound or two that are definitely not from a human.

She might have come willingly, but that didn't mean that a temporal distortion wouldn't cause problems for a being meant to deal with time and space under certain parameters; Parameters that are being rather rudely shifted and distorted by this inter-dimensional craft.

Kairi rushed over to her when she started shouting, and tried to put a hand on her shoulder."It's okay," she said, trying to calm her down. "Whatever's wrong, we'll fix it," she tried to assure her. "That's what we're here for. That's why we're all here. To help each other, and to help those who were kidnapped."

Kairi gave her a warm smile and offered the hand she had reached with, for her to take. "Come on, why don;t we sit down, okay?"
