Welcome to Interstellar's second RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that first opened a couple months ago, this TDM cover the second round of recruitment for those approached by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU
These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate. Rescuers that are already in game can also end up in this dreamscape, and can run into both new musicians and new rescue team recruits.

►A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

►A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE
These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.

►B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

►B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

Kairi nodded. "Of course, at least, as best I can." She brushed some hair back, tucking it behind her ear. "I'm new to all of this also. I'm Kairi." she offered a hand for him to shake. "Maybe whatever you need to know is something someone already told me. If not, maybe we can find the answer together."

He'd already gotten the thrust of their situation when that person showed up to give him an opportunity to help. He'd surprised himself when he'd agreed so quickly. Why did he want to help so badly? Sure Ankh had treated his sister poorly at first, but she was kept safe thanks to Eiji and Ankh's combined efforts, and he'd sacrificed himself to keep the world from being consumed. Even a demon born of human avarice didn't deserve this. No one did.

But more to the problem at hand. "Ah, I was hoping you knew where I could get some coffee, actually." He grinned a little sheepishly.

She blinked at him for a moment, then began to giggle. She couldn't help it. It was just so absurdly normal amid all the insanity. She nodded, smile still on her face. "Well, I don't know off hand, but I'm sure we could find it together, if you wanted help looking."

He smiled when she laughed. It was kinda silly, in the circumstances. "Sure. Two heads are better than one, right?" He was somewhat surprised by how many kids there were here, honestly. This didn't seem like the kind of mission for children to be on.

"My name is Shingo, by the way. How about you?" he picked a corridor and headed down it.

"Or two noses," she teased with a grin. "I'm sure we'll smell it long before we'll see it. I'm Kairi," she added. "A pleasure to meet you, Shingo." She offered a hand to him.

He laughed at that. "Yeah, two noses." He accepted her handshake with a polite nod. "I'm kind of surprised to see that they brought so many kids along for this," he admitted. "What brings you here?"

She grinned a bit. "I'm not exactly a kid anymore," she said as she began to help him hunt down the elusive coffee. "But when I was, my two best friends were already having adventures and being heroes. They were looking for each other. And me. This time though, I get to help. One of my two best friends, Sora, he was taken. But I agreed even before I knew that. I want to help save the worlds, and I'm tired of being left behind." she grinned a bit. "So this time, Riku and I will find Sora and save him, and then he can help us save everyone."

"What about you?" she asked. "Just along to keep us kids out of trouble?"

That sentiment about not being left behind, he could understand. Is that why he'd been so ready to answer when they approached him? That he'd finally had the opportunity to help Ankh in a real way, aside from letting him use his body longer?

"Would you be surprised if I told you I was here to help a demon?" he asked, with a glance.

Kairi shook her head. "Not really. Did you want me to be?" She knew how Riku had seen himself... after the Darkness. That he had acted like he didn't deserve help, shouldn't be helped. But he was still Riku, and she knew his heart. And they had helped Sora, together. And in the end? He and Sora brought each other home to her. So no, Kairi wasn't going to judge, would never see things in terms as simple as just darkness and light. No matter how much darkness someone had inside, she believed in the light that was there too, that had to be there too. believed in it, and cherished it. The light could always find a way, in nay heart.

He smirked. "Maybe if you'd met him. He's a real jerk most of the time. But he's not all bad." No, not deep down. "As long as he has plenty of ice cream bars on hand, anyway," he chuckled a little.

"I have known some people like that, and I think there is nothing at all wrong with ice cream bars." She smiled a bit. "I look forward to meeting him, once we've saved everyone."

He nodded as they walked along together. "Yeah." He let any concerns about there being anything left of him to meet go unvoiced. Eiji still had those broken pieces of his Core Medal, right? But, he's going to change that particular subject. "So what do you usually do when you're not getting rescued or rescuing people?"

Kairi blinked then looked at him wide eyed and incredulous. "There is more to life than rescuing Sora and Riku and being rescued by them?" she asked, as though completely dumbfounded. She was able to hold the expression for a whole ten seconds after the words ended before she burst out laughing.

She shrugged finally, still chuckling. "I don't know, normal stuff. Before all of this started, we used to dream about seeing other worlds, having adventures. Now, what little time we have together at home, we cherish. We went from together every single day to having adventures apart, so now instead of talking about what might be out there, we talk about what is out there, the people we met, the places we went, and all the new life taking root in our hearts." Sora had held at least two of them in his heart, Kairi and Roxas, and Kairi herself held Naminè. So long as they were together, Roxas and Naminè could be together. "We go to school when we must, though I know the boys are bored with that and looking for the next adventure. I had just hoped that when it came, we could have all gone. Together." She pushed back some hair, tucking it behind one ear.

"How about you?"

He chuckled a bit. Okay she had him there. "I'm a police officer actually. I just got back on the beat after about a year, er, indisposed." Not injured or ill, just that.

"But don't worry," he said with a smile he hoped was encouraging. "They probably want to see you as badly as you want to see them. And there's lots of us around to help."

"So your whole life is about protecting people too!" she said, nodding. "We're going to be great friends, all of us, I just know it."

She smiled and gave another nod. "I know. We'll be together soon, I'm sure of it!"
