Just as the Hook siblings promised, within a week the various “Heroes” have been selected and contacted to their fabulous new roles. A few days after the initial contact, those who were successful in their audition are picked up in another bus to be brought back to Sevetop along with the various musicians who agreed to sign up for this little publicity stunt. It’s purely business when it’s revealed…

Some of the musicians will be participating as heroes as well!

Radio hasn’t killed the video star just yet in Vista City. No television show has proved that better than “Fairy Trial”, a gameshow with a theme around fantasy and fairy tales. It’s proven to be quite popular, to the point that this is their ten year anniversary. To celebrate their newest season, they’re opening with some surprise guests: some recent and hot musicians from media empires Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment.

Here’s how Fairy Trial works. You have your “heroes” and your “royals”. A Hero’s goal is to reach their Royal, whatever that means for their particular round. A Royal can help or hinder as they see fit, using what they have at their disposal. Every round is based off of a different fairy tale. Dressing up may or may not be mandatory.

Alright, everybody. You know why you're here. This post is for the brave folks who decided to answer the ghost's pleas and help them free their spirit friends from somewhere within your relative HQs. This probably won't turn out well for you, but maybe it will be worth it. Maybe.

With this post, sign ups for this event are officially closed. The teams gathered are:

Through a variety of means, your patron ghost will have gathered you all together. If your thread didn't quite get to the point where they were fully informed, you are free to handwave an outcome based on what you've seen in other threads. Also, if you'd like to ask for more details regarding what would happen, you can ask that here. Pride Hope and Virgo Love had visions instead of hauntings, but they will have an instinctive sense of where to go to find the rest of the group, as they are being pulled towards the location of the trapped ghosts.

☆PLOT WRAP UP

With Pt 2 of I Will Twist the Knife posted, this plot has essentially ended - though please do backtag as long as you desire! NPC tags will be continuing for the next while as frequently as possible, so while the rest of the game moves on, we can still continue solidifying the specifics of the night of December 7th. Thanks for helping to make this event a success! It was a pretty major piece in the overall arch of Interstellar, and as you might have guessed, things will be continuing to shift and change as a result of the events that have taken place.

This plot post is here to give some more details about the specifics of how things will wrap up in the days immediately following the event, since not all of it can be guaranteed to be threaded out in a timely manner, as if the way of things. Below is a description of what to expect for each of the major groups.

☆YOU WILL BELIEVE IN ME

SO! As most of your guys are probably aware, there were concerns brought up about the 'I Will Twist the Knife' event, mostly in regards to how uncomfortable it made some players closely affected by the recent violent tragedy in the USA. We're sorry we weren't able to account for this before posting the event, but the mods in question were totally unaware of this having happened due to not being from the US and also to not being up to date on their news, and so we only realized it was a problem until things were already in full swing.

But, since some people are understandably not feeling dealing with this sort of content at the moment, there is going to be a small side event that will enable a small batch of characters from both Pride and Virgo to avoid attending the party all together. Details aren't going to get dropped until the post does (since this isn't supposed to be a replacement, just a fun little side quest for people feeling really uncomfortable) but there will be no commonly triggering or violent material at play unless the characters themselves get really punchy. Read on for some set up info!

Party planning will start out innocuously enough. Naomi Rivers is cheerful and dedicated to the task, though as the days go on it will seem as if the stress of organization is wearing on her more and more. She pays attention to everyone’s recommendations (even if they are stupid) and seems capable of distilling even relative chaos into coherent plan of action. Generous refreshments are offered at all the planning meetings, especially ones that involve actual decorating. She does a lot of this work herself, expressing that the holidays wouldn’t be quite the same if you had someone else do the legwork for you.

The holidays are here, both IC and OOC, and you know what that means: it's time for a corporate Christmas party. Or whatever serves as a corporate Christmas party here in Americana. This post is covering the beginning of preparations for an event that is set for December 7th, as well as an explanation of how different the holidays in Vista actually are.

Thank you, Virgo players, for being so patient in waiting. However, your time has come - meaning here is the official sign up for Virgo's The Streets Are Empty event!

The premise starts somewhere a lot more down to earth than Pride's hazing, at least at first. Juno, Edward Blanche's close personal assistant, will come to you with something that is absolutely an order and not even slightly a request: you are to come down to the basement levels of the residential tower with her and aid her in what should be a very simple task, that you will speak of to no one. While all logic may suggest that this is weird and out of place, the programming latent in each character's mind will compel them to agree.

☆STUNT SIGN UPS

Now that we know what shit people are willing to put up with, we have an official list of “stunts” for people to be forced to participate in to earn their freedom out of the carnival. “Forced” is sort of flexible - if your character has no interest in following the game plan or saving the Pride members being used as bait, they can really just do whatever they want. But for plot reasons (and so all this stuff didn’t get planned for no reason) it won’t result in much besides having some wacky shenanigans going on in the sidelines while other people do the challenges. And possibly getting beat on by carnies.

☆DISCORD AND RHYME

Long story short, this event is going to involve various newbies of Pride getting kidnapped and whisked away to a spooky theme park at night, for reasons. Given that it’s the Halloween season, those reasons have a lot to do with scaring the shit out of them for giggles, which becomes a whole new level of bullshit when Pride label hazing gets involved. As ever, knowing when to stop is not really the strong suit of Pride members.

The main scenario is going to involve some people being used as bait, while others are “challenged” by their spooky kidnapper overlords to complete a series of scary “trials” in order to save some of their fellow musicians from being murdered in the PG-13 variety of Saw movie stunts, and also to acquire the key cards necessary to escape the theme park. When Pride pranks their newbies they do not fuck around. (However, no one will actually die unless you REALLY want them to, but that would probably be kind of weird.)
