☆PLOT WRAP UP

With Pt 2 of I Will Twist the Knife posted, this plot has essentially ended - though please do backtag as long as you desire! NPC tags will be continuing for the next while as frequently as possible, so while the rest of the game moves on, we can still continue solidifying the specifics of the night of December 7th. Thanks for helping to make this event a success! It was a pretty major piece in the overall arch of Interstellar, and as you might have guessed, things will be continuing to shift and change as a result of the events that have taken place.

This plot post is here to give some more details about the specifics of how things will wrap up in the days immediately following the event, since not all of it can be guaranteed to be threaded out in a timely manner, as if the way of things. Below is a description of what to expect for each of the major groups.

☆THE OPT OUTS

At the same moment that Lesedi leaves Naomi's mansion with the rest of the Pride members, Gold and Silver will seem to become aware that Lesedi is on the move through some kind of technological notification. They will hurriedly explain that they have to leave, and that each group can expect to be picked up by their respective labels in the next little while. They will leave on the motorbike a short while later, and about a half hour after that Virgo members will find themselves abruptly teleported back to their penthouses in Virgo HQ, without explanation. Another fifteen minutes later, and all the Pride members still stranded will find themselves relocated in a similar manner.

No one attending the party will join them until about two hours later. Until then, they are more or less left to their own devices, wandering the HQ, though the security team will start keeping a close eye on them almost immediately. Before the night is over, everyone who was derailed by Gold and Silver will be interrogated by their respective security teams about what they experienced. Provided people are basically honest (without revealing too much, of course) no one will end up being individually punished because of what went down, though they will be trying to gather as much information about Gold and Silver as possible.

Let us know below if your character is doing anything funny in regards to their interview, or in the period immediately after returning to base. Everyone is pretty on edge.

☆VIRGO ENTERTAINMENT

Members of Virgo will be shipped back to HQ by shuttle about an hour after Lesedi takes her leave. After being dropped off, they will essentially be left to their own devices, though Blanche has made his opinion of the whole thing clear with his reactions to Naomi's death. He doesn't consider any of them to be a threat, and his main concern seems to be in keeping them from being annoying more than anything else. Leaving the label will be impossible both due to remaining programming, and due to the fact the Blanche has made it clear that attempting to leave will just result in either him or Lesedi killing you. Fear tactics are being unabashedly employed, and everyone is being pushed to just keep doing their jobs if they want to survive this.

Rebellious actions are going to be dealt with strictly, so if your character is going to make a fuss, be prepared for harsh IC consequences. Let us know if they are doing anything other than just keeping their heads down and following orders.

☆PRIDE RECORDS

After teleporting everyone to the laboratories, Lesedi will be leaving the main group to be tended to by a few resident doctors, while taking a small group of volunteers into the next room where the critically injured members from the party are laid up on weird sci-fi hospital beds. She will make it known that she is aware that these musicians are as good as dead from their injuries - and that if she wasn't actively stopping them from passing away with her abilities, they would be dead already. After a significant amount of kvetching and maddened ranting, she will be finally persuaded (perhaps with player character assistance) into tapping into her resources to revive all of them. What exactly she does isn't clear, but after doing some kind of spell (???) the fatal wounds from everyone will be removed. (Though minor injuries and lingering wounds from other stuff will remain.)

About another hour later, everyone with these fatal injuries will suddenly appear in the room with the other Pride members on the spare beds, and will wake up shortly after with no real clue what happened. Another hour will pass with the doctors checking everyone over, before everyone will get abruptly teleported back to their penthouses. Much like over at Virgo, it's been made pretty clear that any fucking around as a result of this won't be tolerated - Lesedi has apparently lost all patience for pretending that she won't murder every single one of you for not doing what she says. People who refuse to continue to do their job as ordered will be met with serious IC consequences.

Please let us know if you character is going to mess around or lash out as a result, but do know it will result in the loss of privileges if not worse.

☆THE HOLIDAYS

The one rare mercy of all of this is that the schedule for the season is very light. There are no major events for the rest of December, and characters will be given plenty of time to rest and get their heads together in between fairly sparse musical duties - mostly just a few solstice events towards New Years. There will be no label wide New Years parties, and so everyone is allowed to make their own plans, though no one is going to be allowed to leave the HQ for a while without active supervision.

Talking to people from the other label is not against the rules and the execs will not be trying to prevent anyone from doing so. It has simply been made clear that members of the opposite label are as good as dead within the other CEO's territory. Inter-label hostility is at an all time high.

No one is allowed to leave HQ without active supervision and obviously no one from a different label is allowed in the other's HQ...

So if I'm reading this correctly, no one is allowed to see friends from a different label during the holidays? (I'm confused about the 'active supervision' part, basically, whether that means supervised ic or ooc/if it just means needing mod approval to see friends?) If this is true though, can gifts at least be mailed to the other HQ?

It doesn't mean you can't see them, it means there will be a random NPC bodyguard there or something of the sort. Your manager also works, or anyone like that. You've just gotta assume they are floating around in the background at the moment to keep people from doing anything funny. They don't have to be an active part of the log, though, as long as your characters aren't starting shit.

It primarily means that you have to recognize that your label is using due diligence when it comes to preventing rebellion.

Character can send packages to the other label but it won't be clear whether or not it will actually make it through. (It may or may not, depending on what it is and who it's from. This is sort of up to narrative choice, so it can be a problem if that kind of thing is interesting. Alternatively, they can give presents in person.)

Yes! A few minutes is probably doable even without super powers, since they'll be most likely hanging out at a distance.

Or will it be like 'Naomi Rivers, who the heck is that?' Naomi Rivers died fifteen years ago. In this very room. Also the calls are coming from inside the house.

A few days later, it will be reported that she died via a tragic holiday season suicide. There will be quotes from fellow Virgo veterans about how she had been seeming off recently, and commentary about the stressful lifestyle of a star, and etc. It's all very sad.

Back on the FAQ, I'd asked if Rei could take out a night in a hotel for her mental health later on in the month. Basically a quiet retreat for a well behaved kid and presumably bandmates going through similar issues. She's on edge and needs some way to keep her head on straight. Is that still doable towards Christmas or should I be waiting?

Is Luci going to be successful in talking Lesedi into saving Xanxus? If fast talking doesn't work Luci's going to offer some kind of favor exchange, which I'm guessing could change her event-fallout depending on what that is. Can you give me an indication of where her thread with Lesedi is heading? :3 Thanks much mods!

Right now it seems mostly likely that Luci could do it by making some sort of exchange...Lesedi is mostly just sick of his attitude, and so expending her valuable resources on fixing him up would have to come with something that would make it worth her while.

Will the critinjured characters that get healed by Lesedi have scars from their wounds? Is it just the injury itself that will be healed while the associated effects from said injuries (e.g. exhaustion and weakness from blood loss) will remain, or is everything remedied in one fell swoop?

They'll be feeling sore and tired no matter what for a while. The wound is completely gone (whether it scars is probably dependent on the injury and thus up to you), but symptoms will linger for a bit longer. Whatever she did apparently cost her valuable resources so she was trying to do it as cheaply as she could practically manage.

I know Ivan and Silver's thread is still ongoing, but will Ivan get any explanation for what's happening to him and others? I'm trying to figure if Ivan will continue believing it's ghosts or start realizing the visions and his shapeshifting are more connected to him, possibly his own forgotten memories.

And do characters have a way to contact not!Daft Punk later? Batsignal or signal fires or scrap of paper wedged between a loose brick Or are they too cool (or worried about getting caught) for attempting future contact beyond regains?

Sorry for the delay and there's no rush to answer this question, but I'm still planning on having Maxxie throw a party for New Year's Eve and I'm basically looking for the best way to make that happen. I didn't want to make any assumptions wrt the label's attitude toward what he'd be doing so here I am!

Basically at the heart of it is how much they'd care about him throwing a party where Virgo artists are on the guest list. It'd be outside of Pride HQ (he'll rent out a hotel suite or something) but ideally Maxxie wouldn't make any secret about the fact that he's organizing it. If he gets the sense from his manager or other label higher-ups that this is not a welcome plan, he'll try and organize it on the downlow, but that would also involve the use of his phone which they can easily see that he's using for that purpose.

AND if he did manage to pull it off even without the go-ahead from Pride, I'm 100% cool with repercussions, but OOC I'm just interested in throwing a good old party log and we can go from there.

With all this happening, Luce would normally say "Juno be damned" and talk to others (even from Pride) about the events of the basement. However, Juno gave an order for no one to talk about the "job" and brainwashing back then kept that in place.

Will the brainwashing still be forcing that compliance for silence and, if so, would a character potentially realize how unusual that is for themselves?

Is your character being a fuck up? Are they refusing to listen to the man? Let us know here if they are starting shit or refusing to obey orders. However, do note that repercussions will be serious and may take them out of play for periods of time and/or result in injuries, mental damage, or loss of regains. Neither label is playing around anymore, and rebellion comes at a harsh cost.

Does reluctance to obey orders count? Shen isn't outright refusing, but there comes points where he basically needs to be told to do shit as opposed to taking any initiative. And even then, they probably need to be repeated a good few times before programming really kicks in and he gets off his ass.

He's also ditching a few practices and has taken to leaving Virgo HQ for a few nights a week to just kind of wander and occasionally busk ~in disguise~ so technically that's practice maybe. Any funds gained from this are dumped in the nearest begger's hat, and he's back by sunrise to then sleep half the day away. Rinse, repeat.

...basically any trouble/shit he starts is incredibly passive aggressive and could be chalked up to him being a whiny little turd because whining is definitely happening. HE'S TAKING EVERYTHING PRETTY HARD, OKAY.

So... back before this went down, Xanxus got two tickets to a local pro basketball game for Ryouta for Solstice. He's going to find a way to lose his bodyguards so he can go to it. They'll be right up front, courtside seats and probably get caught on the Kiss Cam. Xanxus will be giving Ryouta one HELL of a Snog for God and Everyone to see.

Of course, this is all pending some things with Ryouta mun but I just wanted to let you know the plan for the moment.

Is it a problem if Bill mentions the new supervision in a tweet at all? (he'll take a selfie with them like a moron.) Everything he will say will be in a very light-hearted sarcastic manner so as not to step on too many toes, but anyone who isn't a fan should understand his intent. Just sort of a means for everyone to vent.

I don't mind if he does get punished for it, just thought I would doublecheck!
