☆PLOT WRAP UP

With Pt 2 of I Will Twist the Knife posted, this plot has essentially ended - though please do backtag as long as you desire! NPC tags will be continuing for the next while as frequently as possible, so while the rest of the game moves on, we can still continue solidifying the specifics of the night of December 7th. Thanks for helping to make this event a success! It was a pretty major piece in the overall arch of Interstellar, and as you might have guessed, things will be continuing to shift and change as a result of the events that have taken place.

This plot post is here to give some more details about the specifics of how things will wrap up in the days immediately following the event, since not all of it can be guaranteed to be threaded out in a timely manner, as if the way of things. Below is a description of what to expect for each of the major groups.

☆THE OPT OUTS

At the same moment that Lesedi leaves Naomi's mansion with the rest of the Pride members, Gold and Silver will seem to become aware that Lesedi is on the move through some kind of technological notification. They will hurriedly explain that they have to leave, and that each group can expect to be picked up by their respective labels in the next little while. They will leave on the motorbike a short while later, and about a half hour after that Virgo members will find themselves abruptly teleported back to their penthouses in Virgo HQ, without explanation. Another fifteen minutes later, and all the Pride members still stranded will find themselves relocated in a similar manner.

No one attending the party will join them until about two hours later. Until then, they are more or less left to their own devices, wandering the HQ, though the security team will start keeping a close eye on them almost immediately. Before the night is over, everyone who was derailed by Gold and Silver will be interrogated by their respective security teams about what they experienced. Provided people are basically honest (without revealing too much, of course) no one will end up being individually punished because of what went down, though they will be trying to gather as much information about Gold and Silver as possible.

Let us know below if your character is doing anything funny in regards to their interview, or in the period immediately after returning to base. Everyone is pretty on edge.

☆VIRGO ENTERTAINMENT

Members of Virgo will be shipped back to HQ by shuttle about an hour after Lesedi takes her leave. After being dropped off, they will essentially be left to their own devices, though Blanche has made his opinion of the whole thing clear with his reactions to Naomi's death. He doesn't consider any of them to be a threat, and his main concern seems to be in keeping them from being annoying more than anything else. Leaving the label will be impossible both due to remaining programming, and due to the fact the Blanche has made it clear that attempting to leave will just result in either him or Lesedi killing you. Fear tactics are being unabashedly employed, and everyone is being pushed to just keep doing their jobs if they want to survive this.

Rebellious actions are going to be dealt with strictly, so if your character is going to make a fuss, be prepared for harsh IC consequences. Let us know if they are doing anything other than just keeping their heads down and following orders.

☆PRIDE RECORDS

After teleporting everyone to the laboratories, Lesedi will be leaving the main group to be tended to by a few resident doctors, while taking a small group of volunteers into the next room where the critically injured members from the party are laid up on weird sci-fi hospital beds. She will make it known that she is aware that these musicians are as good as dead from their injuries - and that if she wasn't actively stopping them from passing away with her abilities, they would be dead already. After a significant amount of kvetching and maddened ranting, she will be finally persuaded (perhaps with player character assistance) into tapping into her resources to revive all of them. What exactly she does isn't clear, but after doing some kind of spell (???) the fatal wounds from everyone will be removed. (Though minor injuries and lingering wounds from other stuff will remain.)

About another hour later, everyone with these fatal injuries will suddenly appear in the room with the other Pride members on the spare beds, and will wake up shortly after with no real clue what happened. Another hour will pass with the doctors checking everyone over, before everyone will get abruptly teleported back to their penthouses. Much like over at Virgo, it's been made pretty clear that any fucking around as a result of this won't be tolerated - Lesedi has apparently lost all patience for pretending that she won't murder every single one of you for not doing what she says. People who refuse to continue to do their job as ordered will be met with serious IC consequences.

Please let us know if you character is going to mess around or lash out as a result, but do know it will result in the loss of privileges if not worse.

☆THE HOLIDAYS

The one rare mercy of all of this is that the schedule for the season is very light. There are no major events for the rest of December, and characters will be given plenty of time to rest and get their heads together in between fairly sparse musical duties - mostly just a few solstice events towards New Years. There will be no label wide New Years parties, and so everyone is allowed to make their own plans, though no one is going to be allowed to leave the HQ for a while without active supervision.

Talking to people from the other label is not against the rules and the execs will not be trying to prevent anyone from doing so. It has simply been made clear that members of the opposite label are as good as dead within the other CEO's territory. Inter-label hostility is at an all time high.

Right now it seems mostly likely that Luci could do it by making some sort of exchange...Lesedi is mostly just sick of his attitude, and so expending her valuable resources on fixing him up would have to come with something that would make it worth her while.

Okay! So in that case, Luci would probably ask Lesedi to name her price-- or would you prefer I think up something? In which case it'd be super helpful for me if we could suspend reality for a bit and I could get some guidance on what Lesedi would be interested in. D|

Edit: POSSIBLE THOUGHT-- given Lesedi seems like her rage doesn't have an outlet, Luci could offer to be her punching bag for a while? She is sporting several stab-wounds in her shoulder and looking pretty okay, and I'm guessing Lesedi knows she could physically take the abuse being a god...?

Edit2: Sheeee could also spin it that it obviously doesn't work when Lesedi punishes Xanxus, that maybe punishing Luci in some way would get him to fall back in line? Or she could work promotions through the holiday while everybody else gets to rest? Or get leashed to Lesedi's desk for a few days IDK MAN. D8

IT'S OKAY for the record I am not ignoring this conversation I have just been mulling it over myself and I was waiting on replying until I had a suggestion. The inherent trouble with this kind of thing is that there isn't a lot that the music slaves can give that the execs couldn't approximately take by force if they really wanted to anyway. So "favors" are difficult because most favors are something Lesedi would expect them to do on demand just by virtue of being 'hers'.

Part of the trouble is that while beating on Lucifer might be fun, honestly speaking Lesedi likes her a lot more than Xanxus, and would really just rather make him suffer - partially because she doubts he has the capacity to care about someone else more than himself.

Here's the question, though: how far is Lucifer willing to go to protect him? Because the big niche that is open at the moment is people that can be trusted to do Lesedi's bidding, to the tune of working against the other musicians. Is betrayal Luci's stopping point?

Yeah I figured this was something that required thought, I was just trying to think of more things given nothing I'd suggested seemed to produce traction. 8Db But yeah, that's where I'm struggling too-- I really don't know what Luci has that a superpowerful mega-CEO would want. D|

Betrayal is 100% an angle Luci could work, but I have a couple OOC-Logistics questions. Obviously I don't want to step on peoples' toes/plots and I'd only have Luci report things that players gave me the okay to report to Lesedi-- but that might create a drought of information Luci is feeding to her. Would she be somehow punished if that's the case? And what kind of information is she looking for? People having memory recalls/regains? And would Silver/Gold just stop visiting her because she's gone too far down the rabbit hole?

And while we're on the subject, what might be the likelihood of double-agent status further down the line once she's betrayed enough of her people? 8D

Haha! Well, not totally a lack of traction - I had also been considering whether or not one of my resulting ideas was an actual good one. There are some possibilities surrounding the punching bag thing but given Lesedi's attitude it would go to pretty gross places pretty fast and I wasn't sure if that was a page I wanted to open in this context.

She'd be looking for any information about A) other people having memory regains/power regains/feature regains B) any information about Gold and Silver in general C) information about people who seem like they are working up to rebelling or generally being insubordinate behind closed doors. She wouldn't get punished for immediate lack ofinfo as long as it was assured on an OOC level that she is actually doing her best.

Gold and Silver would initially have no way of knowing that Luci was being a traitor. There wouldn't be immediate consequences, but there could be down the line.

Double-agent status is possible (especially considering Lesedi is not necessarily that bright) but she would have to make a really good sell because Lesedi is also fickle and not prone to trust in the first place.

"In this context" game-wise, this-situation-wise, or OOC-plotting-comm-wise? 8D I mean, I'm willing to have some serious stuff happen to her if you want to take this to PM-Handwave-Land? The mole plot does grab me, though I'm still trying to work out for myself how much I want her relationship to almost everybody in the game to change. So knowing all the options would be good if you think it could work. If that's not a road you want to go down though, I can work with this! Luci is fairly good at all manners of deception-- lying to her fellow musicians, lying to Lesedi if she has to, lying to Silver/Gold.... yeah she's just going to be lying all the way. |Db

As far as what happens later on, Luci probably wouldn't ask too many questions or demand to know things, she'd just listen and soak up what she could for the most part. She'd be aiming for Furniture-Status (she's there often enough that after a while there are conversations happening in front of her that she pretends not to be interested in. Maybe...?).

So uh, yeah I've kind of lost my spine for this spy plot, and the general feeling is that Luci would probably permanently lose CR from this if she was ever found out, so can we figure out some other alternative? ^^;; Preferably something that can be quickly sorted out/handwaved? I've been on the sidelines of the game while we've been trying to figure this out for about a week now, and I'd really like to get some post-event fallout going before everyone's wrapping theirs up. So yeah, same questions above apply! I'm willing to have some serious things happen to Luci if you're game for that, if not let's figure something else out! :3 Thanks!

Fair enough, in regards to the spy plot! How about we say that for the time being, Lesedi will go along with it provided Luci "makes it up to her", because hey, if it doesn't work out, she can always kill him again in a more exciting manner.

And that way I can take some time to figure out what to do with it (not a spy plot).

As for what kind of bad stuff, I mean, mostly in regards to consent issues and the like. One thing that's sort of hard to force is playthings that don't act like robots...you can probably see where I'm going with that. Something like focusing on Luci for personal entertainment would probably go in skeevy directions fast with Lesedi at the wheel.

Yeah I'd be down for skeevy-consent-issues! Luci might actually be intrigued at first and I imagine that would rapidly descend into "OH WOW, THIS WAS A MISTAKE D8" territory. She has virtually no emotional attachment when it comes to sex, she just does it like a bunny, but there'd be some great psychological trauma from having her safewords taken away. 8Db I should be struck down by lightning for typing that.

So are we talking semi-routine personal entertainment or one fabulous night of horrible after she does the saving-of-the-dying? And I'm guessing we're talking about some non-consensual BDSM style things?


Gentle edit bump, I'm sorry to bug you guys with so many questions-- I promise once I get the answers to these I can re-enter the game. I'm just nervous about missing out on all the event fallout aaaand I've been on pause this whole time and I'm eager to start playing again. :3

Oh, yeah, like - that's why I said for now we'd just leave it as her owing Lesedi a "favour" so I could work it into things at a point where I'm not as busy. It's probably going to be more of a semi routine thing, anyway. She'll rez Xanxus for now but Luci will know that something will be coming down the tube for her later.

And yeah, non consensual BDSM is probably the right ballpark.
