Long story short, this event is going to involve various newbies of Pride getting kidnapped and whisked away to a spooky theme park at night, for reasons. Given that it’s the Halloween season, those reasons have a lot to do with scaring the shit out of them for giggles, which becomes a whole new level of bullshit when Pride label hazing gets involved. As ever, knowing when to stop is not really the strong suit of Pride members.

The main scenario is going to involve some people being used as bait, while others are “challenged” by their spooky kidnapper overlords to complete a series of scary “trials” in order to save some of their fellow musicians from being murdered in the PG-13 variety of Saw movie stunts, and also to acquire the key cards necessary to escape the theme park. When Pride pranks their newbies they do not fuck around. (However, no one will actually die unless you REALLY want them to, but that would probably be kind of weird.)

Anyway, as this is event built on a premise of trying to scare the shit out of your characters, it is going to be opt in only: this means that your character will only be involved if you specifically sign up for it. It also mean that we have a little content form to fill out in case there are any particular kinds of stunts you really don’t want to be involved in.

Please only sign up if you expect you’ll have time to participate, as some events may depend on certain characters being accessible. The log will be going up on Saturday most likely. Please post under “Sign Ups” below with this form to participate.

As for Virgo peeps, don’t you worry! Your sign up post for The Streets Are Empty will be coming shortly. Pride aren’t the only ones who get some ~~reckless bullshit~~ spooky this October.

May I ask when on Saturday it's going up? I have something planned until like 4pm EST but I'd really like to participate because it's right up Kido's alley?

Probably just in the evening: don't feel like you need to be there EXACTLY when the post goes up. It's more that if you aren't going to be able to tag much for the next few full days after it goes up that could cause problems, but otherwise its totally fine to only get on it the next day, etc.

How much fighting back would a character reasonably be able to accomplish? I doubt some of these Pride asshole would go quietly.

They won't be able to resist getting kidnapped initially because they'll be unconscious (which will be explained in the actual event log) but when it comes to running around the park they'll be able to give it their all. Just don't expect to win as the odds are purposefully stacked against them, and the more they fight the more the NPCs will fight them back.

So, they can definitely escalate if they want, but they could end up getting pretty bloodied up as a result. Fighting back is definitely not unexpected - Pride is full of aggressive assholes after all.

Nariko, in her original state, is completely invulnerable to fire. She can't be burned, or suffocate from the smoke, either. I already assumed these traits would be taken from her, but I also thought it'd be interesting if she had that and could be very ???? if/when the fire risk in the event occurs and just be thoroughly unsettled. Buuut I don't want to play outside the obvious bounds either, so what say you, mods?

Sadly, having powers without earning them back is a strict no. All powers are taken away in the initial processing.
