Welcome to Interstellar's first ever RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that has just opened up, this covers the entrance of those recruited by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU
These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate.

►A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

►A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE
These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.

►B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

►B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

Little does he know, Ivan has been remade in a fashion. He's not who he's supposed to be. His eyes have been opened to the idea that there's something more to him than his musical life, but to the extent of what that something is still eludes him.

"Where are we? I've never seen a place like this before." Maybe he might have in a fictional show. Did he fall asleep watching something strange? That could explain the weird dream he's having. "I can't stay here. I've got practice."

Does he? Why does he feel that so strongly?

"I don't doubt that. This is the Galaxy Cauldron, where all stars are born. This is a very holy place," she smiled as she looked into the churning, spiraling stars.

She tilted her head at his question but was gentle all the same.

"Here, time does not matter, time doesn't exist."

"Time doesn't exist here?" And it's the place where stars are born and a holy place? Ivan sits at the edge and continues to stare at the cauldron. With that description of this place, one thing comes to mind with how he could be here.

"... Am I dead?"

"No, not even close to it, but going into the cauldron can kill you. Are you scared you might be dead?"

Okay, so no dream skydiving. Ivan hates those falling dreams anyways.

"If I died protecting someone, then no. I think I'd be okay with that." Ivan thinks back to that vision where he placed himself between a shot and Edward to save his life. He's willing to sacrifice himself like. "But... if my band are in danger, then I've got to help them."

"Are you dying to protect someone here?" she asked as she moved to sit next to him. She smiled, knowing in her heart that he was a good person as well and just needed help. She tilted her head. "I think that's very noble of you, but that is not why you are here. That isn't how the cauldron works."

There's a reason why he's here? Beyond the idea that he might be dead, that is. He pulls his legs to his chest, balling himself up as he sat. "Do... you know why am I here? Why would a cauldron want me?"

She reached out and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, trying to offer as much comfort as she could without hugging him outright.

"The cauldron did not call to you, you called to me."

Ivan tries not to flinch. Touch sets off his power. He copies forms upon contact; he's still not used to the feeling. He's thinks he never will be.

"I called to you? But I... do I know you...?" The question sounds odd to even Ivan's ears, but there was a time when he questioned why the name Edward meant so much to him. He still doesn't know who this Edward really is. Thinking like that, it might not be so strange to think he called out to someone he doesn't know.

"No, you don't know me," she offered with ease, not seeing a point to lie. "But I would not be here if you did not call to me. Your heart called to mine."

He moves to place a hand over his heart, wondering just how he did that. "I don't understand." He lets his hand drop and goes to look at the woman again. "But... I feel like I can trust you, like I trust my family and friends."

"You can trust me, I will do everything I can for you, and for the others." She leaned her cheek on her knees. "Sometimes you don't always have to understand, sometimes you just have to faith in it. I know this is hard, and I fear it will only get harder, but we can set this right."

"Set this right... What our labels are doing to us... It's not right, is it?"

Ivan struggles against his brainwashing that tells him that every action that the labels take is legal and common. Murder isn't legal, and the restrictions placed on the musicians are criminal in some manner as well. ... Right?

She shook her head and even though there was a smile on her lips, it was filled with sadness, a smile in place because she didn't want to frown. It wasn't his fault, after all.

"It isn't. It's wrong on so many levels and knowing that you're all caught in the middle of it... I'm going to do everything I can to help."

"I-I'm in the middle? I can't be that important. I'm on the bottom of the rankings. I have to be just tagging along with the more important people."

Wait, what? Where does rankings come into this? Music ranking? This hasn't been the first time Ivan's thought about rankings, and he's fairly sure it's not a music ranking. If it was, why would he be so confused about it each time he thought of the word? And why does he keep believing that he's at the bottom? Flowers Over Bones is doing well. They aren't on the bottom of anything. There are other musicians below them, the newer ones...

That's not it...

"You are that important, because there are loved ones who are missing you back where you belong. You may not think you are important, but you are. You are as important as anyone." Because all life was precious to Usagi, everyone was someone important. She held his hand gently stroking his knuckles.

"Who has told you that you aren't important?"

At first, Ivan thinks back to the Flowers Over Bones penthouse and his bandmates, but there feels like there's something more, somewhere else he belongs. As for who told him he wasn't important, who made him feel like absolute trash...

He considers some bullies from his childhood, but then, his mind switches gears completely. He's waist high in sand with his face shoved into a whirlpool of it. He chokes and gasps for air when his attacker pulls him out of the sand to glare at him in the face. It's Edward, only he doesn't have the long red hair he had when they met. It's been buzzed short. His hands grip Ivan painfully.

"Do you know how much I've suffered because of you? Huh?! I was this close to becoming a certified hero! But you ruined everything! Why didn't you try and help me that day? I went to save someone, so why am I now the criminal while you're the hero? This is your fault, you coward. I lost everything because you were too scared to move!"

And then he's faced down in the sandy whirlpool again.

Ivan inhales sharply as he breaks from the vision, the memory.

"... A... friend..."

"I'm so sorry to hear that," she whispered as she kept holding his hand. "But sometimes as friends we say mean things and lash out only to instantly regret such things. I'm sorry a friend would think you're not important," she wondered if they were a friend at all, but she wanted to tread carefully. She didn't know if this was a friend like Wiseman had tried to make himself be to Chibiusa, or if this was just a harsher time like sometimes Rei and Minako had with one another. Though she never knew the girls to say they weren't important.

She swallowed and offered him a smile.

"But you are important, please believe that, no matter what they say."

"I wish I knew more about him... what happened to us..." When did this all happen? At the music academy? But that memory-vision seemed to be at a different place. It's possible that they met before the music academy, but he went to that school at a young age. It doesn't match up.

The fact that she's holding his hand doesn't bother him like it normally would because of his sensitivity to touch. "Why is my memory such a mess? ... Do you know?"
