Welcome to Interstellar's first ever RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that has just opened up, this covers the entrance of those recruited by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU

These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate.



►A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

►A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE

These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.




►B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

►B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

[The dream isn't unfamiliar to Suga. He's in the Karasuno gym practicing his serves before anyone else comes to the gym for their morning practice. It's early in the morning with the morning air being cool enough to see his breath before the day warms up. He has the keys for the gym in his pocket that jingle every time he jumps in the air. Suga thought he saw someone pass by the gym. Maybe someone from the team was here to start their morning practice. Suga holds the ball under his arm as he walks over and opens the door.]

Good morning! Ready to start?

[Suga sat on the edge of his bed as he thought about the way everything seemed to change so fast. He was currently on a spaceship going to a planet to save people that needed his help. Honestly, it sounded like something a certain setter would love, but here he was on a spaceship. However, at the mention of helping others Suga couldn't refuse. He always made sure he could help out whenever he could. It would feel good to be able to help out.

He still couldn't believe he was on a spaceship though. Suga slid his fingers through his hair as he turned to look out the window.]

[Tooru looks around. He's near a gym. Why? Why is he in this gym? He doesn't recognize it. He doesn't recognize these school grounds.

He does, however, vaguely recognize the boy who just walked up to the gym doors]

[Suga smiled at the setter in front of him as he shook his head.]

Nice joke Oikawa-san, but since it's early in the morning I don't mind humoring you. You're here in Karasuno at our gym. I'm surprised you're here this early though. Don't you have practice today at Seijou?

[Oikawa looks down at himself. He's dressed in a teal track suit. And then looks back at the other man]

I have no clue who the fuck you are.

[He vaguely recognize him. He's... connected to the usurper? He's not sure]

Not that I'm not glad to be out of the goth get up An Xie makes me wear, but I should be getting back. Just point me in the direction of Vista City and I'll be out of your hair.

[warmsetter]

[Suga frowned and felt as if he was punched a bit from the dismissal. Alright now it stopped being funny. He dropped the ball and walked over to stand in front of him.]

What are you on about this morning? You're the one who's here, not the other way around.

[Suga looked at him in confusion.]

Vista City? I don't know what you're talking about. So, if you're finished I'll be going back to training.

[worthlesspride]

[What you think this is fun for him?]

Oh, damn. I Bet Squalo-chan drugged me and left me out in the country side. That jerk!

[This said mostly to himself until Suga is standing in front of him]

Excuse me? I'm obviously lost here, and could use some help. I don't know what you're own about.

[He flaps his arms] You know who I am. You said my name! So obviously you know I'm not from around, so stop with the mind games! [Though it seems awfully familiar. Maybe not the school grounds but the area itself]

[warmsetter]

[Suga turned to go back to the gym when he turned back to Oikawa. What a minute...maybe he wasn't playing a joke on him. The way he flapped his arms was familiar, but his words and the names he said didn't sound like it. He shouldn't have jumped to conclusions so quick. Suga nodded.]

Yes, I know who you are Oikawa-san. We've played against each other a few times and met up for practices too. Wait, you really don't know who I am do you? You really don't know where you are. [Suga frowned. That wasn't right. What happened? Did he get hit on the head too hard with a volleyball or something?]

Alright, alright I will. But how did you end up here? Is there somewhere you can to go or something? [Suga didn't like that Oikawa didn't remember him. It hurt a bit more than he wanted to admit, but he was never one to turn someone away. Maybe he could do something.]

I don't know! I bet it was Squalo-chan, ever since I told him to control his libido he's been a cranky ass bitch.

You know Squalo, right, the cellist from Manticore?

[Something's not adding up. Not at all. It's like they're having two different conversations.]

Okay, wait, time out. [He makes the time out sign] We've played together? I don't play volleyball. I'm a musician. From Crown of Thorns. Their Cellist?

[beat]

None of this is making sense to you is it?

[warmsetter]

[Suga shook his head. Squalo? He's never heard of anyone with that name. Then Oikawa playing an instrument, being in a band, none of this added up.]

Yes, we've played together in two different tournaments. You've won one and then my team won one too. I don't remember you being a musician or even playing an instrument.

[Suga shook his head again.]

No, it doesn't. I'm sure I'm not making any sense to you either. [All this was very confusing.]

I know what this is!

[He brings his fist down into his open palm]

Alternate universes! Your Tooru Oikawa switched with me or something.

[Except, no, that doesn't feel right. And saying his name in Western order didn't feel right either. What this boy was saying felt... more right. He bit into his lower lip, thinking.]

What's your name anyways?

[rising_wing]

You doing okay?

[Riku was doing rounds, checking in on the other rescuers. He stood in the doorway and looked at the other boy. Unlike most of the other people on the ship he seemed to have some experience with world hopping adventures or something similar.

He smiles when notices that Suga is looking out the window at the stars.]

Pretty cool, huh? First time in space?

[He was pretty sure he knew the answer to that]

[warmsetter]

[Suga looked up at the voice and nodded with a smile.] Yeah I'm fine. I'm still trying to adjust and take everything in. [He relaxed when he saw his smile and nodded.] Yes, it's very nice to be able to see space this close and be in an actual spaceship. It's my first time and it's very different than I expected. I'm sure I'll get used to it soon.

Oh, my name is Sugawara Koushi, but you can call me Suga. What's your name?

[rising_wing]

I'm Riku.

[He smiles softly, a little wistful] You do and you don't get used to it.

[He crosses to the window, looking out] My first time traveling between the worlds wasn't I expected either. [He used the darkness to travel for a long time. It got him places quicker, but this way, on a ship, definitely had a better view. And didn't endanger his heart.

He turned and leaned against the wall, arms crossed, relaxed]

So, who are you on this ship for?

[warmsetter]

Nice to meet you, Riku.

[Suga returned the smiles before he gives a little laugh.] I'm sure this is something that someone can't get used to. [Suga finds it a bit hard to believe himself, but space is passing him by it's at real as he expected.] It's very new. I mean I always looked at the stars, I just never thought I would be able to see them so close.

[He peaked out the window at the stars again before he turned to Riku.]

Oh, um, for a teammate. Well, we're not on the same team, but we've played together in matches before and I do know him. [Suga gave a sheepish smile as he rubbed the back of his neck. When the person told him that Oikawa was taken he didn't know how to react. Sure, he wanted to help him, he just didn't know what to call him. Friend? Teammate? He'd figure it out later.] Sorry if that doesn't make much sense. We've played volleyball before and he's an amazing player. He's not that bad of a guy either and I want to help him. [There much better.]

[rising_wing]

A rival?

[Riku smiles at he suggests this]

The guy I'm going in for is my best friend and rival. [He smiles, thinking of Sora. How much he missed him, and how much he wanted to hurt those who took him.

He took a breath. Keep calm Riku]

Volleyball? Is that like Blitzball? I never got into it myself, but my friends back on the islands loved it.

[warmsetter]

Hmm, I suppose. We do play the same positions and he's a pretty amazing player. [If Oikawa was around he could only imagine how big his ego would grow if he heard him. He shook his head with a soft laugh as he looked up at Riku with a smile.]

Oh? He is? I wish you good luck in finding him. [From that smile whoever Riku is looking for sounds pretty important to him. He hoped he could find them.]

Blitzball? Well, if the game is hitting a ball back and forth over a net then it will be pretty similar. [He's not too sure about that, but that's the gist of volleyball without getting too technical with it.]

[rising_wing]

Sora shouldn't be hard to find. He's short, but his hair is... [He makes a vague gesture with his hands around his hair] Spikey.

[Sora is extremely important to Riku. His first friend, he best friend. Kairi is the only one who even comes close to the level of their bond, and only the years Sora and Riku had together before meeting Kairi makes the difference.]

And his heart is huge. I'm sure he's made friends with everyone. I figure we ask someone if they know him they'll say yes.

[He cocks his head at the description of volleyball] No, not like blitzball. Blitzball has goals and is played in the water.

[warmsetter]

[Suga chuckled at the description. The mention of the spikey hair reminds him of many of his friends.] He sounds like a nice person very friendly too. I'm sure it will be easy to find him. Well, I hope it is.

[From the way Riku described him they sounded like they were very close. Suga's eyes widened a bit at the mention of Blitzball.] That game sounds like fun. How can you play it in the water?

[honokairo]

[Someone's still exploring the ship. She's had a sobering talk with her friend from home who was along for the ride, but Honoka is trying not to let herself get down about it. She was already upset once and was probably heard wailing from halfway across the spacecraft. She kind of waltzes right in when she realizes she's in someone's room and spots Suga on his bed.]

Oh? I'm sorry, I didn't know this was someone's room!

[warmsetter]

[Suga looked over with a calming smile as he shook his head.]

Oh no, it's alright! I wasn't doing anything please come in. [Suga didn't know if they had assigned places or not, but he wasn't going to push anyone out of his room.]

[honokairo]

[She'll gladly take the invite. She enters, standing next to the bed where he sits, but doesn't take a seat.]

Isn't it pretty out there? [She points out the window.] I always liked looking at the stars.

[An attempt to keep a lighthearted conversation going. It still amazes her that she's looking at the stars while traveling among them.]

[warmsetter]

[Suga has a space open for her in case she wanted to take a seat as he turned back to the window. He nodded.] Yes, it's very nice outside. Me too, it's even better up here so close.

[]It was something to think about. That instead of watching the stars from the ground he was traveling through them. They looked to be so close he could reach out and touch them.]

[honokairo]

[At that, she bounces onto his bed next to him and practically presses her face up against the window.]

Look at that! I've never seen that constellation before! Come here, look! [She pulls back from the window, so he can see too.]

[warmsetter]

[Suga chuckled as she bounced on his bed. He moved a bit to give her some more room while she looked out the window. Suga smiled as he looked out the window. He gasped softly in surprise at the constellation and happily pointed at it.] I've never seen that constellation before. It's very nice. Oh, look at the one next to it. [Suga moves aside to let her look out the window again.]

[honokairo]

[She sits quietly for a second to continue to look out the window as stars whiz by. The constellations that Suga points out are pretty.]

Who knew there were so many. [She says, finally.] We never would of gotten to see it either.

[She turns to look at him, still smiling, though there is a faint trace of pain there. She's not good at hiding her emotions.]
