☆RESCUER TEST DRIVE: DIGITAL LOVE

☆WELCOME RESCUERS

Welcome to Interstellar's first ever RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that has just opened up, this covers the entrance of those recruited by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU
These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate.

A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE
These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.

B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

[Tsuna flinches slightly at the irritation in those steely eyes.]

S-sorry!

[It's not like he forgot on purpose, but apologizing seems wise. Fleeing also seems like a great idea, but he plucks up as much courage as he can and tries again.]

You do look familiar. So does...

[He gestures vaguely around him.]

..this place.
flies_solo: (unrestrained)

[personal profile] flies_solo 2015-12-29 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)

That's because it's Nami Middle, where the both of us went to school.

[The explanation was made plainly. The apology was barely acknowledged but went without a note; there were more important things here

Like determining if Tsuna knew anything.

Hibari lifted a hand without preamble, showing the dreamscape replica of the Vongola Cloud Ring for the boy to plainly see.]

Does this mean anything to you?
dame_tsuna: (Just trying to get by)

[personal profile] dame_tsuna 2015-12-29 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Nami Middle...

[So they went to school together? The odd thing is... that sounds right. But he still doesn't remember at all. And... how the heck did he forget a guy like this anyway?

Unfortunately Tsuna has only gotten back a few scattered memories up to this point. And half of them involve Kyoko. Blame the fact that Nia is a similar ball of adorable optimism. He's about to ask something else when Hibari takes the initiative. A negative response is on his lips when he suddenly realizes that the ring does look familiar. But like everything else in this dream, it's just out of his reach.]

Y- yes! It... I've seen it before! I just...

[Can't remember. He shakes his head. This is getting so frustrating. For just a moment, he forgets his fear and asks again.]

Who are you?
flies_solo: (hibird)

[personal profile] flies_solo 2015-12-29 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)

[Weary already from all this, he heaved a sigh and, with a wave of his hand, dispersed the illusory dreamscape that had altered his form. Standing before Tsuna was a tall, lean man with quiet eyes that were backed with a subtle steel.]

Somebody who's going to pry those memories open, [he intoned firmly,] and bring you back to where you belong.

[A twittering Hibird descended upon them, and settled comfortably in Tsuna's hair without invitation. This perch was shorter than before...but a friend was a friend.]

Hibari. Hibari. [The bird chirped helpfully, as if intuiting it's master's discomfort at actual introductions and nice conversations such as this.

Running it's beak affectionately through Tsuna's hair, it jumped off and fluttered to a new perch upon Hibari's shoulder to receive an affectionate and grateful scritch under it's chin.

Words were not his forte. Actions were, but there was a limit to what he could do in the current situation.]
dame_tsuna: (Just a day)

[personal profile] dame_tsuna 2015-12-31 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
[His eyes widen in surprise as the boy in front of him is sudden replaced by an older version of himself. Some distant part of Tsuna notes that this is not nearly as surprising as it probably should be. But he doesn't have time to worry about why that is right now.]

Back where...I belong?

[He's getting the impression that place is a lot farther away than he thought it was. Tsuna was about to ask something else, but suddenly there's a bird in his hair. It takes him a moment to parse what the bird is trying to tell him.]

Huh? Hibari...?

[The understanding dawns when the bird returns to Hibari's shoulder.]

Oh! That's your name....

[It does sound familiar. And inextricably connected to this school somehow. Like whatever memories he has of Hibari are linked to the memories of Nami middle. After a few seconds of hesitation, he decides to ask the question he'd been going to before the bird showed up. Because he still wants to know.]

Why... why do you want to help me?
flies_solo: (how annoying)

[personal profile] flies_solo 2015-12-31 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
['Why' indeed. The answer itself was just beyond his ability to find words for-- but, how can a man go about defining the rock in his life that allowed him the freedom to do what he wanted and needed to do under his own terms? Chuffing softly, torn between bitter amusement and irritation, Hibari simply stood back and looked up at the billowing clouds that wafted through a crystalline blue sky.]

'No-Good' Tsuna really is a good nickname for you if you can't figure this out.
Edited 2015-12-31 05:36 (UTC)
dame_tsuna: (heh)

[personal profile] dame_tsuna 2016-01-01 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tsuna smiles wryly at the nickname.]

Maybe it is...

[He's never thought too highly of himself, in either life, to be honest. But... if someone like this is risking going up against people like Mr. Blanche for his sake, then maybe he needs to try a little harder.]

It's not that I'm not grateful, but... Mr. Blanche and Lesedi are pretty strong. You should be careful.

[Although even as he delivers the warning, he can't honestly imagine Hibari losing against anyone.]
flies_solo: (patient)

[personal profile] flies_solo 2016-01-01 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
[The warning was noted; he had expected as much, and would be disappointed if they failed to deliver a channel for the rage that seethed under his cool veneer at the insult the perpetrators had delivered to the Vongola.]

I do what I want. Two fools won't stop me.

[He had Roll and his tonfas and his anger. Those were the only weapons he needed for anything he decided to take on.

But, gathering intel was important too. Very gently, he reached out a hand to touch Tsuna's shoulder and leaned in close.]

Blanche and Lesedi. That's new information. You're doing good for one so small.

[It was praise in the only way he knew how to give, and the only way he knew how to get to the Tsunayoshi that this boy had yet to become. One day he would be the Boss that he knew, but until then...]

Be smart. Tsunayoshi. Be safe.

dame_tsuna: (exhausted)

[personal profile] dame_tsuna 2016-01-03 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[Even without his memories, Tsuna knows that praise is rare. And completely sincere. Which is why he doesn't fall back on the usual skepticism or denial that he usually receives compliments with.

He can't really stop his cheeks from going red though.]

Thanks. I'll be careful too.

[The next question is somewhat resigned though, because he's pretty sure he knows the answer.]

This is a dream, isn't it? Do you think I'll remember any of this?

[He wants to. He's been feeling so trapped lately and even just knowing someone was coming to help him would make that a little more bearable. But pessimism dictates that things are never that easy.]
flies_solo: (moody)

[personal profile] flies_solo 2016-01-04 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Hibari doesn't respond to the question immediately, instead drawing himself back to his full height to regard the boy who would one day be the Boss of the strongest Mafia Family in the world. Perhaps it was his innate humbleness and open heart that made him a good Boss-- or, perhaps it was his personal dedication in the face of such overwhelming odds?

None could say. But, the embers that would one day burn into that blinding Flame were clear, even now.]

Who knows? [He asked, finally.] Dreams aren't my domain

[Chrome or Mukuro would be able to advise him better in that regard, but neither of them were available for questioning in that regard.]
dame_tsuna: (And as he asked if I would come along)

[personal profile] dame_tsuna 2016-01-09 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[Tsuna can sense a searching quality to Hibari's expression. He's not sure what exactly the man is looking for in him, but unconsciously stands a little straighter anyway.]

I don't know much about them either. I guess I'll find out when I wake up.

[He's going to try his hardest to remember as much as he can. Even a small part of this dream would help. If awake!Tsuna doesn't manage to convince himself it was all just a dream anyway.]
flies_solo: (smirk)

[personal profile] flies_solo 2016-01-11 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[It was a good enough answer for the time being-- and Hibari cracked a small smirk at the little weed of a young man.]

Then I'll leave the rest to you. Don't disappoint us, Tsunayoshi.
