Welcome to Interstellar's first ever RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that has just opened up, this covers the entrance of those recruited by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU
These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate.

►A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

►A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE
These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.

►B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

►B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

Doctor finds himself running through a crumbling city made of cracked and deserted clay buildings, nothing like the shiny metal skyscrapers of Vista City he sees day to day now. He can hear heavy steps of multiple people chasing after him, and when he chances a glance over his shoulder he sees a small unit of squat soldiers wearing strange helmets and suits one would expect to see in a sci-fi movie. They raise their rifles to fire at him. With an excited laugh Doctor rounds a corner and barely evades the rain of lasers spitting in his direction, giving off sparks of heat as they miss their target and hit the walls of the nearest clay building.

Ahead he can see something familiar. He's seen it in hallucinations and dreams since he returned to Vista City after the band's tour. The mysterious police box sits untouched in the middle of the sandy road he's running down now. Any moment now the soldiers will round the corner after him but somehow he knows that if he can reach that police box, everything will be perfectly fine.

[Well, that's certainly a sight to see when she pokes her head out of a door.]

[Luce, with one hand raised up to keep her large hat steady, opens the door to a place that seems rather smaller on the outside than the in and sees her co-lead hauling ass across sand pursued by what can only be described as cheesy sci-fi robots. It's quite a sight.]

[There's just a moment where she blinks, and then she raises a hand to her mouth to call out to him.]

You might want to go faster, dear!

Out of the way!

[The last thing he wants to do is slam into her but at this rate he can't afford to slow even a little if he doesn't want a laser shooting through him. The soldiers following after him start shouting battle cries, seeming more upset the closer he gets to the mysterious police box. Don't let him escape!

Doctor narrowly misses getting hit by another close shot. He swears some of his hair has just been burned off by it but his main thoughts are focused on getting through the doorway.]

[Instinctively, Luce ducks at the sound of a laser going off, but she still doesn't quite leave her spot. She just pushes the door open as wide as it can get and presses against it so that there's room for him to barrel right on it.]

Run faster, Doctor!

[Because she's relatively sure she can't do anything as she is.]

[Meanwhile, River finds herself inside the TARDIS, a quick glance at the scanners telling her the whole story of what's happening outside. She rushes to the door, flings it open and steps outside, raising her blaster to take down some of the Sontarans shooting at her husband.]

Do hurry up, sweetie.

[ Doctor recognized the woman. He had seen her in a vision before sitting at a table a smiling at him with eyes that knew more than she said. But who was she precisely? There's no time to think. Doctor sprints to the police box and bursts in through the doors.

He thinks for a moment that the inside might be a closet because he finds himself blinded by woolen fabric. He had crashed straight into the coat rack near the door and was wiggling blindly on the floor in a heap of overcoats and scarves. ]

[She slams the door closed as soon as he's in, relaxing as soon as it's secure. She turns back to him, only to frown at him on the floor]

What on Earth are you doing down there?

[Doctor flails his arms and throws aside the coat draped over his head. Other coats and scarves bury him from the waist down as he looks up at her with static-excited hair.]

What? I tripped. I-

[He takes pause, eyes slowly scanning over their bright surroundings there in the TARDIS control room. He hadn't yet remembered the inside of the TARDIS before, and had seen it in his visions and dreams only as the small police box it appeared to be to so much of the world. Suddenly his vision of the granddaughter talking about going to Egypt before entering the police box made much more sense.

Doctor leaps up to his feet, swinging one of the scarves around his neck.]

This is new. I've seen the outside of the box and I've seen you. [He turns back to River.] Hello again. [He nods his head to her politely, pats some dust off his sleeves, then looks at her again.] Where are we exactly? Are we friends?

Around that corner, Doctor will find another man, laser pistol already drawn and ready. Though, seeing another apparent human was not anything Sparks had been expecting, if that look on his face is anything to go off of.

"Aw, dang it. Get out of the way!"

"I'm trying to!" Doctor shouts as he scrambles to run around the unknown man and onward towards the mystery police box. "What are you doing? Run!" Sparks may have been armed but from what little Doctor remembers about guns, one man versus an entire squad of soldiers doesn't work out so well, at least not along an open road. The Sontarian soldiers continue their pursuit and draw near the corner Doctor had just rounded.

In truth, Sparks is far more acquainted with showing down against one person at a time, maybe a whole gang if things get bad--squadron is pretty far outside his usual experience. He was willing to roll with it and make a brave face, but it doesn't take a whole lot of encouraging from Doctor to get him to run, muttering a curse as a last attempt at reluctance. "You the one who cheesed these guys off or what?"

"Well I'm certainly glad you're having fun with this!"

Right behind him is a... woman? Female from the tone of voice, one might guess, but instead of hair a crest of horns and frill adorns the back of her head. She's armed with a sword and hisses angrily when one of the lasers puts a burning hole straight through her bustle.

"Get to the TARDIS, go! Heavens know you won't be able to lift it off immediately, and the last thing we need are hangers-on!"

"TARIS?! The police box? Tell me you're talking about the police box!" It's the most obvious place to run or the most instinctual somehow. He continues his sprint towards the blue box.

Doctor has hundreds of more questions running through his mind about the woman er- the lizard lady? Alien? Comic book hero with animal powers? He wants to ask but more importantly he'd like to survive this attack first.

The Sontarans round the corner and yell as they spot their target again.
