☆PLOT ANNOUNCEMENTS

As opposed to a plot post, this is an OOC notification of various things that are happening IC! I will try to keep this relatively brief for the sake of everyone reading it. Make sure you check all of it out as parts of it will relate to most characters in the game.

This post is going to cover a big label based announcement that is leading into the end game set up, Silver getting their chip-removal base together, and the final challenge for the Fairy Trial plot.

☆EVERYONE GOES ON WORLD TOUR!

Come April 8th, there will be a huge media announcement in Vista City - both Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment are going on ! It's unclear to the media whether or not they just happened to decide this independently or whether they have intentionally teamed up - to the audience it comes across as a tantalizing mystery! From the inside, though, anybody who knows anything about anything will realize the odds of Blanche and Santiago cooperating intentionally are slim to none.

Also notable, the public media announcement is the first any of the musicians will hear about it. Every band from both labels will be coming, for what promises to be a true hellstorm of a worldwide event. The precise schedule is still TBA according to media sources, but it is all going to kick off with a massive music fest in Vista City on May 5th. Music fans can expect a truly mind blowing performance.

Any questions about this to authority figures will just result in musicians being told that they better spend the month practicing their asses off in preparation for the upcoming event. They'll be expect to have new song down to an art for it, and fuck ups will be less tolerated than ever. Bands that find themselves dipping below appropriate numbers in their rosters (something that their managers seem to be expecting) will be provided with stand ins for all performances.

Rescuers will have the situation explained to them by Gold and Silver shortly after the is announced - there is no doubt in either of their minds that this is the big move the labels have been building up to. Everything is coming to a head, and the best thing they can do for the moment is to weaken the label's foundations as much as possible while they still have time.

☆CHIP REMOVALS ARE HERE

Which is convenient, because with the help of some enthusiastic rescuers, Silver is finally ready to start attempting to perform some amateur brain surgery on liberated musicians - that is, if they can acquire any. They've set up the medical tech they stole in a signal protected bunker in the city, and the best plan at the moment seems to be getting musicians to it without revealing its location so that they can have their tracking chips removed. Just gang rushing musicians is a bad plan, because after the first few victories, they can anticipate the labels to catch on and for supervision to become much more intense.

Still, Silver advocates trying to save people where you can. The fewer musicians the labels have before the the better.

☆FAIRY TRIAL WINNER!

The FINAL CHALLENGE has been revealed! From the batch of successful challenges, a winner has been randomly selected, and that winner is:

EIJI! CONGRATULATIONS EIJI!

You can play out the chaos in said thread as much as you like. Really, a challenge like this all comes down to luck.

The winner will receive 10k dollars (if a musician wins the value of it all will go to their charity of choice) and their choice between an all expenses paid trip to Europa or a BRAND NEW CAR!! It is completely the players choice which they go for.

Say the musician is not human but actually a magic creature of medals and fire. Would chip removal trigger their true form or would they need the MPs for that?

The chip has nothing to do with their physical form, so chip removal won't trigger a physical change no matter what they are normally. As mentioned previously, though, certain physical changes brought on by MP may very well just cause the chip to dislodge itself.

Soooo... does Japan exist on Terra? Maybe ~*~WORLD TOUR~*~ will include it in their map?

What if some characters who definitely weren't speaking the language before recorded a song in it ~for promotion~ or whatever? (And possibly in some other ones too?) Or would that be frowned upon and better not attempted?

Japan exists and is a part of Americana! And it is definitely a location on the world tour.

Once characters know about Japan being on the tour list, them doing that as a gimmick would be fine.

Two dumb questions for the price of one!

Just a couple things I was curious about:

I know you said after the first few musicians are rescued from the labels, security will get tighter. But roughly how many could be saved in the first 'wave' of rescues?

I also think it was mentioned Somewhere? I might be crazy. that some rescuers might be captured in retaliation? Is that still a thing?

And will there be a sign up or plotting post so we can get an idea of who is interested in what? I'm especially interested in that if numbers are a factor.

And that was three questions, further proving that I can't count and have no idea what I'm doing. Sorry.

1) It's not really a specific number so much as accepting requests until it seems like too much.

2) It was never really about retaliation - it was just that if players wanted to have their rescuers get captured, they could!

3) There is no specific plotting post for it - it's more like, players come up with an idea for a rescue and I approve it if it seems reasonable!

Fairy Trial Handwaving

I'm not going to tag the final challenge, but Ivan would be easy to "lose" in the chaos and bump into him. It's his luck and his life.

ie: I'm giving you permission to NPC and bump into, run into, shove, accidentally/"accidentally" trip, and so on to Ivan.

While I'm at it, Agent 3 will be aggressive and try to prove herself after the Rapunzel challenge. However, she is a small kid and easy to get knocked around and out of the way. Feel free to NPC her where/if needed.
