☆GHOST QUEST: PLOTTING & OOC
☆GHOST QUEST
NOTE: THIS EVENT CHRONOLOGICALLY OCCURS JAN 30TH.
Alright, everybody. You know why you're here. This post is for the brave folks who decided to answer the ghost's pleas and help them free their spirit friends from somewhere within your relative HQs. This probably won't turn out well for you, but maybe it will be worth it. Maybe.
With this post, sign ups for this event are officially closed. The teams gathered are:
► PRIDE: GENOS, MAI, TERRY, KIDO, ROY, YUFFIE, TIGER, TOORU
► VIRGO: HARU, KEITH, CLOUD, LUCE, IVAN, MERIL, MARTY, NIA, PARKER
Through a variety of means, your patron ghost will have gathered you all together. If your thread didn't quite get to the point where they were fully informed, you are free to handwave an outcome based on what you've seen in other threads. Also, if you'd like to ask for more details regarding what would happen, you can ask that here. Pride Hope and Virgo Love had visions instead of hauntings, but they will have an instinctive sense of where to go to find the rest of the group, as they are being pulled towards the location of the trapped ghosts.
Whether through spirit instinct or through word of mouth, the groups will assemble, and will have a small amount of time to plan before drawing too much attention. At this point, the ghosts guiding them will only be visible to the people sharing the same alignment as them: in this case, for Pride that is Passion, and for Virgo that is Duty. They won't be able to hear Baryl of Arpegius speak when they are not directly connected, but temporary possessions will enable them to explain to the rest of the group, along with the ghosts's explanatory miming.
Through a combination of wit and regained (or earned) powers, each group will have to achieve their goal of breaking into the "secret" labs of their relative labels. For Virgo, this is the basement floors just beneath the area in which Juno's weird seance happened, and for Pride, it will be in the area that people are taken for reprogramming, lead to from an elevator near Lesedi's office and no where else. It's also the same place she teleported everyone into when leaving Naomi's mansion.☆PRIDE RECORDSIt's possible to get up to Lesedi's office right now, as she is apparently not in, though it will take a combination of distraction and stealth to do it without getting bogged down immediately. Predator is busy dealing with other musicians and searching for ghosts, so thankfully the only think to potentially get in the way is the security force. Whether you fight them or whether you trick them is up to you, but you'll have to get by at least a few to make it to the elevator.
Once access to the elevator has been obtained (and a key has been stolen from a guard) you'll be able to take the massive elevator down - a trip that people who have been reprogrammed before will remember. Once in the labs, Baryl (riding the body of one of the Passion) will be able to direct you towards Octave's prison, which will turn out to be some kind of weird magic-science energy field. Enough tech savvy or smashing power will be enough to stop the machine and let the ghosts free, but escaping unseen afterwards will be pretty much impossible. A couple people might be able to slip out via their powers (even so, they will likely be spotted on cameras), but the rest will be stuck, and forced to deal with the consequences for their act of courage.☆VIRGO ENTERTAINMENTTeam Virgo's journey takes them to the basement levels of the residential building, exactly like during the seance. Some may remember this room, the one that seems to scan people that gaze into the screen and display some kind of odd ID screen on a picture they never remember being taken. People couldn't get through the large door at the end before, but if Arpegius gives it his all, he will be able to get the doors open for them. From there, he will just barely have enough juice left to get them to Stella's prison.
Security guards will be ready to try to intercept upon the doors being opened, and so they may have to be fought or tricked in order to have enough time to get her free. With the guards either distracted or defeated, a mixture of tech savvy and smashing power will be able to destroy the weird space pod holding her spirit. Whether or not they escape the immediate outcome, everyone there will most likely be incriminated, unless they remain in disguise for the entire effort. The likely outcome is that they will be overpowered while still in the labs. Stella and Arpegius will be free, but at what cost?☆THE PLANAs we all know, large groups of players in one big thread can be hard to make progress on. So, instead of trying to get through this whole adventure tag by tag, the plan is to negotiate out an outline of what happens here and then thread out the finale (once they have found the containment areas) to figure out the specifics of the most exciting parts instead of the whole thing.
This post can be used for plotting, as can plurk and any other means you choose. Now is a good time to let people know about any specific powers your character might have that they will be able to use to their advantage, as well as any other ways they will be useful to the effort - or not useful, as the case may be. The rough outlines are given here for the sake of convenience, but if you manage to come up with a strategy that goes off the rails, I will do my best to honour it! Let's make this as exciting as possible.
