Frisk looks vaguely skeptical, not of the words but of the expression. There's a lot more to it than he's saying. They think you can make friends with most people eventually, but that doesn't mean it's always easy. That's just the way things are. Sometimes you've even got to just fight some people for real first.

That's not a good recommendation to give. It can lead you pretty wrong.
