It seems very . . . idealistic. Lapis isn't sure what to make of that; it leaves her uncertain. On Homeworld, such idealism would be discouraged -- better to do everything for concrete, tangible purposes.

But . . . Steven is idealistic that way too. Because of him, her paradigm is beginning to shift -- if slowly. Perhaps there is something to idealism too.

Hesitation on her part. "A boy," she says at last, quietly. "Those dreams . . . I saw him. He was taken." A pause, and a shadow flickers over her features. "I shouldn't have come . . . but I owe him to try."
