The beach isn't quite empty, though for the life of him J can't figure out why he's there. It sure isn't any beach he's familiar with, especially given the giant statue just up the sand. There's a broken tune here, though, and that's more important than the sun and the sea and the sky.
It just about breaks his heart to find that the warped, skipping tune belongs to a little kid. Even the tune itself sounds sad; the damage isn't doing it, or the kid it belongs to, any favors. J turns and offers him a smile, trying to give him something friendly. "Hey. Nice place, huh?"
