This is gonna take a little bit of canon information RE: that State of Greeedness and How It Works:
Greeeds are beings composed of nine Core Medals surrounded by Cell Medals, but when they were originally created they each had ten Cores. The original OOO took the Tenth Core and shattered it, thus creating in them a vacuum that the Greeed can never fill, which creates in them the desire to devour the world.
With Ankh being one the Hope list and experiencing something very similar to having his Tenth Core getting removed with that spiritual drain, is it possible he gets an echo of a memory from it. Not the specifics only a vague sense that it happened before?
