We're outnumbered, and overpowered, so we can't make any bold moves for the time being. There's something that's been surgically put into the captives, so that they can be tracked down, and we're currently working on getting the equipment that could help remove it.

Of course... The major problem is that the captives have been brainwashed to not realize they're captives.
