Kairi offered him a small smile, hoping to lift his spirits if at all possible. She didn't like to see people so down, so upset, not if she could help. She sat beside him and put a gentle hand on his arm, a wordless offer of comfort. But after a moment, she did speak, with a smile that invited him to smile as well.
