☆OOC PLANNING + MEET AND GREET

☆WELCOME TO INTERSTELLAR!
We're glad you made it! This post is for plotting out fake character backstories, as well as events that have gone on in the past month or so that new characters have been being inducted into the labels. Yep, just like in the TDM, a variety of high scale parties and introductory ceremonies have been had. Both private and public, both labels have been starting to hype their newest musical lineups. For new characters, this means that the past month has probably been a fairly exhausting series of press events and recording sessions.

But, since we bet you're all curious, first have an easy to read band listing. Complete with some more deets about each band, the characters in them, and their managers! ADDED NOTE: all the newbies this round have been added to old bands to fill in the gaps! These characters have been highlighted in magenta. If you can't find your character easily, we recommend CTRL-F.

☆MANAGERS THOUGH?
Here's how managers work, for the newly inducted:

Managers are essentially a group NPC, played by consensus by the band that they are in charge of. You can take control of them as much or as little as you want. You don't have to ask for specific permission from everyone every time you want to use them or have them do anything, but essentially, you can't use them to harass your bandmates unless they want you to. You have artistic liberty, but you have to share.

Important to know, since they're your NPCs to use, is that they are not actually people. They're androids, and they've been at this for a while. Unfortunately, beyond relatively shallow interests given to them via AI programming, they don't really have a will of their own outside of their CEO's command. They are also extremely strong when it comes down to it, but they're going to be careful about where they show that off.

Their first priority is keeping the band functioning and under control. Any abuse your managers dish out to your characters is included in the kind of stuff your characters are brainwashed to instinctively handwave as normal, and not something they can avoid. However, the managers themselves are incapable of touching on your character's programmed control triggers - only actual people get to do that.

But they can and will tattle on you if they see you doing stuff that's against the rules. Also, they never sleep, and sometimes treat you more like prison inmates than musicians. They may seem nice, but they can all be pretty fricking nasty if provoked.

☆PLOT IT UP
Here is your chance to work out dynamics with your bandmates, as well as character from other bands and the other label. They'll all have had chances to meet recently, especially if they share a company. They can also have fake memories of having known each other from before the past month or so, but these don't hold much water, just like the rest of the fake memories. Yes, it is entirely possible for old character to suddenly remember knowing new characters even if they technically didn't know they existed until recently. Brainwashing, yo.

It's been an exhausting month, and in reality, your character was only reprogrammed and introduced to Vista a couple weeks before that. Even if it seems like it's been forever.

Introduce yourself down below, plot out backstories, plan backstory threads, and flesh out your band concepts! Besides what we've outlined, you can feel free to add gimmicks and flavour to your musical group to your heart's content.

REGARDING NEW CHARACTERS IN OLD BANDS AND VICE VERSA:
When a new character is moved into an old band to fill in gaps, or an old band is broken up and dispersed into new bands, it doesn't have to be set up as if this is a stranger coming into the fold. It's encouraged to work out a way in which the character is included with the rest of the band's dynamic, even if they were playing with a different group up until this point! They can be old friends with the current members, or they could have been a music buddy who they called on specifically to take the place of an old member or to complete the group.

They can also just be some new guy that their label found to fill a hole, but it's understandable that a lot of people may not want to miss the opportunity to work out pre-existing CR with the rest of the band. Magic brainwashing works in mysterious ways, and can definitely retroactively include new people in your backstory at any given moment.
