Welcome to Interstellar's first ever RESCUER TDM! A part of the Interstellar plot that has just opened up, this covers the entrance of those recruited by the lone space pilot Shep to join him on a mission to the planet Terra to rescue those held captive by Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment. Rescuers will not suffer any memory loss and will enter the game as they are, in contrast to the memory loss/force humanization of the musician half. Powers will be nerfed to a certain degree upon entering the game fully, but during recruitment they will remain at full power.

☆A DREAM ABOUT YOU

These prompts are designed to be game canon, for both rescuers and musicians both new and already in game. For those in game, they will start occurring around New Years in the form of dreams. The dreams will be very clear while happening, but after waking, they will swiftly fade away into something barely remembered. For rescuers, these dreams will occur very shortly before they are approached by Shep or other already recruited rebels to join the rescue squad and go save the people being held captive in Vista City. Rescuers will remember these dreams as clearly as something that actually happened in real life.

Both of these prompts take place in the dreamscape, ostensibly, and the surrounding will appear as whatever fits those taking part in a scene. It can shift and change as a thread goes along, as well, and may resemble things from a captive's home, the game setting, or anything else appropriate.



►A1) FOR THE CAPTURED: The kidnapped musicians of Vista City will dream of being themselves - in a way more true than they have been for months now. They'll dream of themselves as they're meant to be, in physical form and manner of dress, and their personality will align more easily with their true nature, even as the confusing influences of their programming nag at their mind. It could alarm them, or it could feel somehow natural. Either way, their memories will still be gone, except for what they've recovered - but they feel somehow much closer to reach, like they may break through if only given the chance to dig just about deeper. They may dream of home, they may dream of Vista, but either way...when the morning comes, their memories of this experience will be all but wiped away. Including the memories of the strangers that promised that they would find them and take them home.

►A2) FOR THE RESCUERS: The dream is the first sign of something being wrong. You'll find yourself somewhere else - either a scene from your home, or someone else's, or an alien world you've never seen. In this dream, you'll find a person. Perhaps it's someone you recognize, someone you love dearly, but that doesn't remember you. Maybe it's a stranger, lost, confused, and desperate for help. Either way, you find yourself reaching out to them - but outside of this dream, you are helpless to save them. The dream will fade but stay with you in your memory, and may be a key component in you choosing to believe and join the other rescuers when they come to your door. Something has been taken, and you will take it back.

☆MAKE THESE DREAMS COME TRUE

These prompts are design to be kept as game canon after acceptance, and can be used as the official story of how your character entered the game. Importantly, the technology used to enter your timeline causes massive time distortions, which means that the outcome of this scenario will stagger and replay itself multiple times before settling on an outcome. This means that after the fact, you character may remember being encountered multiple ways, or going in more than one direction, before the timeline settled on a final path.




►B1) JUST SAY YES: Soon after these dreams, rescuers will find themselves in a strange situation. Time will abruptly stop for every part of the world except for them, and fade into a ghostly vision of its former self - just in time for them to be approached by some mysterious strangers. Whether your rescuer chooses to run, fight, or talk, eventually they'll be told the truth - people of the multiverse have been captured and taken to a universe far away to be harvested for their souls...in the form of forcing them to becoming rock stars. You heard it here first, folks.

The people recruiting you will mostly be other player rescuers that have already been recruited (regardless of whether or not that's been threaded out - you can assume your guy got recruited by someone if you want to recruit OTHER people.) The pilot and owner of the space ship doing this appears to be a blue man named Shep. He's the guy that's apparently in charge of this whole thing, but he's so busy with the dimension hopping that he's kind of hard to find and talk to. He presumably recruited some of the first members personally, but things have been sort of getting more complicated since then.

►B2) INTERSTELLAR DISCO: After you've agreed to come for whatever reason - to save you lover, friend, some guy, whatever - you're be taken upon the guitar shaped spaceship to wait out the tide of the temporal distortions picking you up has caused. It's a long journey back to Vista City, and you've got plenty of new comrades to get to know. This mission could take a while, so you better get comfy. You're in for the long haul now.

NOTE: If you want to see the interior of the spaceship (or if you want to see Shep dance) watch the music video posted up top. It's going to be a fair bit bigger in Interstellar to accommodate the big crew, but the essence is there.

Saitama | One Punch Man | Not in Game

[Dreams are weird. It's not usual for him to have dreams about being in space... maybe it's some weird side-effect of him being punched to the moon? He's in a space ship, and once again, it feels like he's lost no matter what direction he's going in. Where is he...?]

[It didn't really take anything for Saitama to say 'yeah sure' about coming and helping people out. But man... there sure are a lot of other people here. This feels like some sort of cruise, he really doesn't know any of these people.

Well, at least Saitama is treating it like a cruise. He's more relaxed than anybody else in the whole ship, and since he doesn't have manga, he doodles on whatever scraps of paper he can. Not that he's any good at art, but it's something to pass the time and not go stir-crazy since he isn't exactly thinking about anyone or anything that hard.]

[ This whole thing is fairly old hat to Sparks, but it seems like everyone else is fairly abuzz with nerves or excitement or whatever. In that way, finding someone else fairly blase sticks out like a robot thumb.

He peers over Saitama's shoulder, and... oh. Well, he's trying. ]

Wuzzat, like, an artichoke with wheels?

Ah, just some guy that can turn into fire? I don't know, I just started doodling it.

[Huh. It kinda does look like an artichoke... he glances up at the critic.]

Whoa. Cowboy theme, huh?

Could say that, reckon.

[ "Theme," huh. Yeesh, you'd think people hadn't seen a space settler before. Sparks tips his hat. ]

Sparks Nevada, Mars Marshal. Also dimensional rescuer type guy, now.

[heroforfun]

[Hey, the heroes all pick a 'theme' for good publicity and for a good look, alright? Saitama's just surprised he hadn't seen one yet.]

Cool name. I'm Saitama. Or, uh, my hero name is Caped Baldy...

...Li'l on the nose there, innit. You some type'a superhero, then? That's a thing now?

I was assigned the name, it's not like I picked it.

[SIGH-- wait]

You aren't part of the Hero's Association?

[fromearth]

Wha--no, I just said it--

[ He taps his badge, exasperated. ]

United Solar System Alliance, and Mars-Earth Space Coalition.

[heroforfun]

Oh. I thought Mars Marshal was your hero name.

[fromearth]

No, 's my job, ain't a special-- [ He thinks about that for a moment. ] ...kinda could be, now I think of... Ain't, though, is the point.

Where you from? Didn't think superheroes were around much since twentieth century.

[heroforfun]

They're all over the place on Earth. The Association got made to handle all the monsters and disasters, I think.

[fromearth]

Monsters, huh. [ He's no history expert, but he's pretty sure the books only really noted supervillains being an issue. ]

Dimensional junk... Right, got it. So you're here on the job too, huh?

[Saitama is about to get company in the form of a small fat frog.]

[Fantasma is doing some very important work, you see. Mammon needs her to scout around and see just what people they're going to have to deal with during this little team effort. Saitama happens to be on the investigation list.]

[...Even if it seems like the frog is just trying to see what it is he's drawing.]

[heroforfun]

[There's only one flaw in your plans, Fantasma. And that's the fact that you're a lot more interesting to Saitama than his idle, bored doodling.]

Ohh.

[He sets the pen he found down and slooooowly moves his hand out to the frog, curious if it'll crawl on his hand or hop off.]

[avidita]

[You know what? Fantasma will accept that.]

[For a moment, there's just a stare at his hand. Frogs are hard to read the emotions of, so what's going through her little head is a mystery until she gives a small hop onto his hand.]

[Congrats, Saitama. You now have +1 frog.]

[It gets a tiny smile from Saitama! Hello frog friend. Saitama just slowly turns his hand, looking the frog over. He never really held one of these, the last one he saw was actually a frog monster guy that stole a bunch of CDs.

He doesn't say much, though. If you're looking for some insight into what kind of guy he is, you won't learn a whole lot... other than the fact that he's not the kind of guy that talks to animals or inanimate objects.]

[For a while, Fantasma doesn't even mind. She's a pretty patient- or maybe just lazy- frog and she deals with the inspection fairly well. There's only the occasional squint, even.]

[Eventually, however, that changes. She turns about in his hand with a few waddles and bellows out some impressively loud croaks.]

[It takes a moment, but soon enough her partner is showing up.]

[...Mammon's first thought is admittedly wow who's this bald loser/i>, but that might be because of the cape.]

...Hello, Fantasma. I see you'e found someone.

Oh, is this your frog?

[Saitama'll hold her out for Mammon.]

She's cute.

[avidita]

[The compliment to Fantasma makes them smile, and they take her carefully. The frog has puffed up to make a particularly pleased little croak.]

Yes, she is. She's glad you noticed. [They glance down to his now abandoned doodle.] Bored?

Yeah. Long trips are always like that, aren't they?

I usually go to sleep, personally. Fantasma keeps an eye out on things for me.

[An affirmative croak. She's hard working frog.]

This time I thought I'd pester the rest of the people on board, since we are going to be working together in a way.

[heroforfun]

Yeah, guess so. Is this your pet or familiar or something? I think there's a thing where witches have familiars. Dunno, never saw magic that actually worked.

[avidita]

She's my partner, yeah. And close enough- I'm an illusionist.

And I can guarantee mine works.

{Continuing the trend of small animals, there's a chameleon cuter than any previously known in any world, walking across the table to inspect Saitama's art.}

[Normally animals don't seem to like him! He could barely take care of any plants, he's lucky cacti are tougher.

Saitama gently reaches over and touches the chameleon's head with his index finger, or tries. He might get bitten, but oh well.]
